I am so grateful that Word of Faith churches are inviting her. The teaching that we walk by Faith and not by sight can cause some to ignore emotions, and Jesus clearly demonstrated emotions and a vigorous spiritual walk.

Emotional well being is not happiness. It is the ability to experience all of your emotions and continue to live your life. It’s the capacity to be sad sometimes happy sometimes. No emotions is a permanent state. If you don’t recognize this, you will lust and idolize happiness.

SO TRUE---it was a scary time. I hear what your are saying...my cousin edited an amazing book written by a Pastor, in the Washington D.C. area, called "GOD HOLDS YOU - a Pandemic Chronicle." I think you would like it...and I LOVE you are speaking about plants/trees speaking with each other underground...what we are finding out is ALL LIVING THINGS are connected. I am so grateful to have found you, Dr. Anita Phillips! I LOVE what you are exposing to the WORLD! Thank you!

I’m not afraid of my emotions but others are and I am sometimes afraid of what my emotions will do but I should be more afraid of them not being processed!! Now, I curate spaces that are safe for my heart & emotions. I’ve been in unhealthy spaces that are full of fear. Let the different levels of faith reign!!

I LOVE your conviction, Anita, and ALSO your REALISM and EXPOSURE of Mental Illness as nothing more THAN ILLNESS - just like physical illness. Thank you for your investigatory analysis of your sister's illness and THE WHY...via the Bible. I have mental illness in my family and there has been a lot of judgement, just because of fear - I am certain that is why...when you cannot name the cause (I come from a long line of physicians and surgeons), some people can start blaming (myself included at the beginning, thinking it was a discipline issue of a 3-5 year old child...I was wrong and just didn't know). There are NO COINCIDENCES...I know God/Spirit/Universe led me to you...I thank you for your book...I hope to buy it soon. I send you supportive hugs for ALL you are bringing to light! Thank you!

“How God created us to function: Spirit, heart, mind, body “ “Feelings come first before thoughts” “Get over your issues of the heart” “Heart before mind” “Emotions are not sinful” “The biggest diseases we are dealing with are heavily overlapped with emotional distress. When you hold your emotions in, your body breaks “ “Emotions are not the problem. They are the indicators of an unmet need.” “Ask God your question, He is not scared of you. You can ask God a question without questioning God.” “Jesus never rebuked an emotion. He was real and authentic.” “Emotional well being is not happiness. It is the capacity to experience all of your emotions and continue to live your life. No emotion is a permanent state.” “I need to differentiate between faith and fear because fear dresses up as faith sometimes and keeps us from talking about the things that scare us.”

‘Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.’ Ohhh wee, that was a good one!! As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he! I am SO glad reclaiming these heart focused scriptures have reclaimed my substance of HOPE for real cuz in 2018, I thought it quite the revelation that emotions were a mental health issue of the mind only when I KNEW in my soul what I had been taught all these years in God’s Word. I was questioning application, etc. the irony of going this direction in neuroscience and mental health got me here, only to learn that what I first learned seeking the Kingdom would connect it all for me in the end, to continue. My soul is entirely full of so much JOY & relief of the emotional being I started to suppress but the Holy Spirit forced my process and I’m just so beyond thankful that I didn’t get too far deep in focusing solely on the mind and suppress my heart to go in a different direction !! Thank you so so much for the affirmation, Dr Anita Phillips!!!!

Thank God for the brilliance and anointing of Dr. Anita…you’re helping me tremendously, I have always been comfortable with my emotions, but people that I love and respected have scolded me over and over again…There was no empathy, just shame, scolding, condemnation and anger, when my heart was wounded and broken…Lord God thank you for healing our broken hearts.🙏🥰

wow i am so blessed. i have been wondering to myself when God said thy kingdom come and thy will be done on earth. Now i can align this to , our heart. Gods kingdom is our heart and he wants to be the lord over the hearts of men so that we may all flourish through the words we sow over each others lifes .

Christ is recorded saying in Matthew 26:41: ‘Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.’ The spirit is not weak, it’s the flesh. The heart is part of the flesh and is impacted by the spirit. My spirit has never been so weak that is has never been willing to praise God. However, my flesh (including my soul) has lagged behind, because it is weak and even the whole head is sick. God is able!!!!
