To the old necromancer lady's credit, I think it's much more understandable than the usual ressurecting final boss demon bullshit. Because this trope is usually putting the soul on the body, while this thing is just putting small part of the body. And it's implied she has done this trick million times before and it always worked fine, unlike the trope that usually a cult who never done actual necromancy before. So yeah, it's still reviving trope but it is played well.

@lsekai2101 A bit, but Madara at least was held until the end as the villain. Hashirama was way more like Gojo for me--by all rights he's unbeatable so it takes away any tension or believability that they could've lost.
