Will not travel to Japan for the Olympics, business or pleasure. Not a Safe place to go as they have radiation contamination. Japan should be up front about this serious issue instead of putting people from other countries at huge health risk! Just Google, FDA has a list food items banned from Japan because they are contaminated!!!

You seem to know only the distorted facts by Korea. It seems that Korea does not know that radiation per hour has a greater impact on the human body more than japan. Immediately after the earthquake, in Japan, the standard value for radioactive materials in general foods was set at 100 bq / kg. This number is a very strict reference value even when viewed internationally. (US: 1200 bq / kg) Korea is prone to prejudice, stereotypes, and emotions, and is swayed by unconditional patriotism. People like you should not come to Japan. Peace is disturbed. After all, Korea can not live without Japan. If you do a Japanese boycott, don't watch TV, because Japanese camera world share is 90%.

I don't know why the Olympics games with dozens of games are stacked in just 15 days. I think it is better that the Olympics games take place in a longer time so that everyone can benefit. Japan is benefiting from tourism and TV broadcasting for a whole month and fans are watching more sports because many sports compete simultaneously because of the tight duration of the Olympics

Do you realize that for building up venues that numerous and able to withstand several thousands of spectators, including the medias, and not to mention the transports withing each of the venues, the hotels, the airports, etc... you are going to have to spend at least a hundred billion dollars just for having everything on schedule! Ask Rio or Pyeongchang how they feel once the olympics are over and that all the venues they've invested by putting themselves into debts for several decades are deserted and nobody uses them any longer! Even in very powerful or super rich country they're still paying for 16 days of olympics that ended several years ago: in Beijing or London, they had to rise the local tax to make sure they could refund their investors, and they haven't finished yet. Here in France, they are about to rise the taxes of every frenchmen for Paris 2024n while they said to the CIO that they only needed 6 billions to build the olympic village and an olympic swiming centre: eventually it turned out to be a lie: both of these infrastructures actually cost more than they said, many other existing venues are actually obsolete or too old and needs to be rebuilt or renovated, and several transports thay had planned to link the airports with the venues sites are not even sure to find their investors (And of course thay told the IOC that everything would be on schedule at the right time). The Olympics are just about throwing billions and billions in an empty basket. I love the Olympics, it's the greatest world sport competition that has ever been, but to be honest, only super rich country that can throw money away without counting can really afford them (such as the Emiratis for instance) or in my opinion, they should choose one unique city in the world to always host the competition every 4 years: the infrastructures would always be in place, meaning not needing to throw away billions and billions away to build every 4 years in a different city huge venues that will end up abandonned right after the games. In my opinion it should be Athens, since they're the original founders of the Olympics, but that remains a debatable subject. I wish you good luck anyway if you really want to see the games in Indonesia by 12 years from now!

@@starfromakihabara4896 Yes I didn't realize they hosted this event two years ago. But they still will lack some couple of venues (Open Water swiming, Athletic stadium and road events, BMX freestyle court...) and will the venues have the public capacity required to host spectators from the entire world ? If the answer is no to some existing venues, then this means a lot of work and a lot of money are going to be spent to make things bigger for the crowd and the media. Not to mention the Olympic village and the media village who cost a lot too, and all the transports line required to fluidly get thousands of people from their hotels to the venues, to the shopping and restaurants, then to another venue, then to the airport. The olympic games are insanely huge, and it's no mystery why when asked by referendum, the population of the candidate cities generaly say no to the olympics (this is what happened to Rome for 2024 or Salzburg for 2026).

It’s all part of the NoNoJapan campaign that sprang up a month ago when Japan decided to curtail shipments of certain chemicals to South Korea. So now everyone from the mass media to the government is on bad terms with Japan. It’s sad because this vitriol is spreading over to the olympics, which in itself should be free of politics and instead focus on the love of sport. To be blunt if South Korea wants to sit this one out, go ahead because I am sure they won’t have a hard time filling seats.
