Unlike apparently a lot of people, I really love this song as a lullaby. Like a cold realization that reality isn't what you wanted it to be. Madness comes into several forms, and this version of the song just gives the vibe of the cold, sorrowful and calculative kind. I'd even go as far as saying I prefer this one over the original. And usually I'm the one preaching for hard rock and metal. Just thought I'd try to balance out the negative reactions a little bit instead of whining at them for having an opinion.

Some of these comments are so rude. You may prefer the original but that doesn't mean you should hate on her video, the original will always have a special spot in my heart but I still love this version. Its so new and different so if you don't like it, just go listen to the original.

My favorite parts were when you could perfectly hear soft whisperings of the lyrics, the beautiful orchestra of strings, the amazing piano work and those anonymous 'wind-like' effects.....all combined in one. AMAZING!

omg so it's a stormy night where I am and right at 2:07 at the end of the word "mad", I felt my house shake and heard loud thunder. that was the most synced song-to-nature moment I've ever experienced.

Alright I don't even like TG But in a way this song talks about someone with multiple personas. They want to gain full control, they are scared of the other person in their head. At the start of the song, they are afraid and knowledge their alternative persona. The other personality is coming out. At the part where "please unravel my soul", they decide that they want to know which one is real. From 1:40 to 1:56 they feel the other persona taking over, and "I'm breakable, unbreakable" part illustrates the multiple persona the best, they are pacing between the two personas. "And finally it makes me mad" part means the other persona taking over. From this forth, to 2:40 or around there, during the jingling sound, there is either 1. The persona of the singer saying this to their friend, or more likely, the persona that has now taken over, singing to the first persona, revealing that they don't want to be found, because they are either scared of theirselves, scared of the other persona aswell, or seen that they are unwanted."But if you must see, look through your memory" gives us hint that it the multiple persona issue may have something to do with childhood trauma, or that something similar has happened in the past. From about 2:50 to 3:40 , it is another persona saying that if first persona wants, they can unravel the second persona's soul- showing that there is something that wants to kill inside second persona, the second persona cannot help this. From 3:44 to 4:07 , the two personas converse, fighting over who will gain the control. Then, at "I won't let you contaminate me", one of the personas declares their win, and from 4:12 to 4:50 , it is one of the personas(Most likely the first one) saying goodbye to their friends and closing at some brain cell, allowing the other persona to take control, and onwards from 4:52 the persona now locked up pleads the second persona to remember them, and by "The changes inside us were enough to paralyze, you'd never survive in this hellish paradise" the first persona means that they finally surrendered to the second persona and that the second persona would probably be never be capable of admitting their loss, while the second persona means that they are glad they both survived(One of the personas could have died, dissappeared.) and that they will not lock up the first persona completely("you'd never survive in this hellish paradise"- The second persona was locked up somewhere, but they are not locking up the first persona at the same place), and finally, "if you miss me" part is told by the first persona, telling to the second persona that they are still somewhere, existing in their memory/brain. I know I should be spending my time with schoolwork or something :D

This was very emotional and, arguably, fits Kaneki, the main character, way more than the original song because it incorporated more of the thoughts a solemn, sorrowful hero rather than a generic boy turned monster theme. Also, you can sing like a siren and that editing is sexy. I love it. ^M^

I actually listen to this to go to sleep sometimes, as I can just drift away to it. You have an amazing voice that just brings a calm to me as a lie on my bed. Thank you for this version of Unravel.

Wow. That gave me goosebumps. And whenever I get goosebumps after listening to a song, I know it's really good. I don't know what else to say.

Unravel is my favorite song from an anime, I even know all the words, therefore I was expecting to be disappointed but damn was I wrong. This is amazing. Really. Your ability to take a song, translate it, give it an entirely new feel, and most importantly make it your own is incredibly talented and takes one hell of an artist to pull off. Amazing job.

While I'm not the biggest fan of lullaby versions, this is extremely well done and I applaud you for such a beautiful piece of work. I look forward to seeing more from you, and will be becoming a patron.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!! I loved watching Tokyo Ghoul. Both seasons were really good in my opinion. Season 1 showed his struggle to t he change and how he truly just wants to be human but knows thats impossible, in the end using the power he is given to protect those he cares about. Alot of people say that was the best season. In my eyes the second season was the best. Going out of his own way to keep his friends safe, even if it costs his life. And in the end, after everything, after nearly loosing all sanity. He became human, once again his true feelings showing. even if it means his life. And when unraveled played on the last episode of season 2. It broke me I was in tears on how great it was. All in all if you havent watched it, make it a must its truly a timeless anime.

Why are people complaining so much?? This was one of the best covers i heard although its lullaby! It's absolutely amazing and even better because the artist is proud of their work and you complainers don't need to point so much "flaws" out just because it's not by your liking. Just because you're not into it, doesn't mean something's wrong with it.

Relistening to this years later, reminiscing on how poorly the internet behaved on an original adaptation. Personally, I am responsible for comparing it to the original and not liking it all that much, HOWEVER, I definitely return to it, looking at it as an original and really enjoying the different vibes, which actually kind of fit the narrative of the overall show better. I'm glad you made this version as I think it's almost gotten more powerful and better with time. Keep on creating Amalee

Holy crap this was haunting yet strangely beautifully composed. Back chilling stuff but a phenomenal cover. Definitely a welcome change from the usual rock versions that are out there. Can't believe I'm only finding this now.

Wow. This is a truly amazing english cover. You took a beautiful song and made it your own, not even by changing the language in which is was written but also the way of singing. This is my favorite version of this song, by far. So haunting, almost eerie, but also sad and incredibly beautiful...

I initially found this very haunting in tone, led on also because I hadn't heard the full version yet, but it still wasn't really a favourite of mine. There were other covers I grew to like more and left this alone. Holy shit, listening to this again after listening to the original I'm not even sure how many times, and all those other covers as well as watching the second season, and re-watching it all as well as reading the manga, I've completely rethought my view on this. This is amazing, being in lullaby form, it's very weak, but that's not a bad thing. I feel it really reflects Kaneki and his helplessness as everything goes on in the series. I feel like the madness slowly grows and consumes him, making him helpless or the more even when he has the strength now to change everything. It felt hopelessly desperate, it could only continue on. It's so cold yet so beautiful and I think it's perfect.

Why are people complaining I thought this was amazing and if anything it tells kaneki's story in a more cold and dramatic way due to the slower pace. I love the original as well but what I can't seem to wrap my head around is the fact your here complaining, if you prefer the original there are numerous other English covers you can listen too haha.
