I live in Malaysia which is a country with many different races, cultures and religions, I respect USA for sending Olympians with different ethnic, yet winning the most gold, silver and bronze medals ...USA being diversified in Olympic is the role model of the world... Diversity is not a must in sports but it is a beauty...

Yes, and the America-hating media was already running articles a full day before the Olympics ended about how the "real" winner of the Olympics is the country with the most golds, not the most medals. At that time and under that criteria, it was China as the "winner", but then the U.S. ladies volleyball team won a first-ever gold on the last day and surpassed China's 38 gold medals with 39. It was so great to see those America-hating journalists with egg on their faces. Overall, this was a subpar performance for the U.S. at a summer Olympics, largely because the men's track team under-performed, winning only one gold medal. Simone Biles pulling out of the ladies gymnastics team competition and most of the individual apparatus competitions really hurt the U.S. because the ladies were by far the favorite for the team gold and several individual apparatus golds with Biles. With Biles gone, those golds never happened. The U.S. also had a few top athletes test positive for COVID and sent home with no chance to compete. Ordinarily under more normal circumstances, the U.S. would probably have earned around five more gold medals. So, coming out on top after all these unusual circumstances is a testament to the American competitive spirit and determination.

@@L1623VP Well! first of all, all those mass media controlled by microsoft, and google are in front to bring American athletes down for sure. But if you look at distribution of medals, traditionally strong sports nations all have healthy distribution of medals which shows by number, bronze highest, followed by silver, then smallest number of gold. That is the normal distribution of medals by nature. On the other hand, China has highest number of gold, followed by silver, and least number of bronze. which shows that Communist government organized elite sport training boot camp, and highly trained only elite athletes tactically. That is not real sports, Same things goes with Japan too but Japan had home ground advantage, so it is understandable, Chinese communist government will use those medal count for their political propaganda for sure as if they are the best people in the world while violating human rights on minority people in their country.

@@47rintin1 You need to do a little research and learn how winning medals actually corresponds to population. It's more about the number of athletes that get sent to the games than the actual population of the countries. This is because this is the number of athletes that actually obtain the training required to be olympic champions. If you add the total athletes ent by those European countries it would be far greater than the total athletes of the US. What's even better is that the U.S. still came out on top in what was considered an overall lesser performance at these Olympics with the under-performance of the men's track team (only one gold) and the struggle the ladies gymnastics team faced after Simone Biles pulled out. Ordinarily, the U.S. would have earned several more golds in men's track like the 4x100 relay, and the U.S. ladies gymnastics team was the far-and-away favorite not just for the team gold, but several individual apparatus golds that Biles probably would have taken. I'm going to say the U.S. total gold win could have been 44 or 45. The fact that they still came out on top with the most golds and the most medals overall is a testament to the American competitive spirit and determination.

If it were left up to me, China would be excluded from international athletic competitions until it cleans up its human rights abuses. The Olympic Committee should deal with China the exact same way it dealt with South Africa during its Apartheid era - ban them from competing until they put human rights first. So shut the hell up!
