In this video I take a detailed look at the Tom Bihn Synik 22. Tom Bihn is one of my favourite bag companies so I was super stoked when they let me try out this bag! While there were a couple of things I didn’t love, overall, I loved the bag! I take you through what I carry in it, how it’s laid out, and compare it to the Synapse 25 and Goruck GR1 21L.

I have a Synapse 25 and love it. Brilliant bag. The Syniks look great as well, but I can’t come up with a good enough reason to “upgrade.” Nice video!

I would say if you have a cache then for sure there isn't a lot of reason to upgrade :) I actually really like my Synapse and find the clamshell opening to be the type of thing I use once in a while but isn't really necessary. Tom Bihn bags are made so well too that there isn't ever really a reason to replace them, ha.

@@jtinseoul7041 Agreed - they’re all great. I have my Synapse, a Sidekick, a medium Cafe Bag, two wallets, and a bunch of pouches. Yeah, you could say I’m a fan. Looking forward to your future videos.

@@jtinseoul7041 I have a 13" 2020 Macbook Air (wedge). Any suggestions on which Cache to buy? There doesn't seem to be one specific for this type of Air on the website.

Did your handle crease ever go away? Had the same thing with mine and noticed it disappeared after a few months of use. Smart idea with the bag strapped on the inside. A couple times of throwing a hardcover book with well defined corners did a number on the mesh on my bag.

It's gotten better on mine. Helped a lot to hang it on a hook for a week or so. My mesh is definitely slightly ratty looking in some places but the strapped in bag has stopped anything further from happening.

I would say the GR1 21L can nearly take the amount the Synpase 25 can so you'll be golden I reckon ;)

We didn't make a deal. George wasn't a fan of shipping internationally. I have made some great deals with people from my channel though! Always happy to chat with people about trades and the like. It's funny, often the things I get traded are things people want to see me review. I'm a tiny channel, but, still cool that that happens.

Really appreciate that! I have a pretty big photography following elsewhere but when I tried to go that direction with the channel during its infancy I just got bored talking about that stuff. Have always been a bag nerd at heart and having a ton of fun doing this! And, I ended up with a heritage anyway so alls well :)
