I’m in the process of listening to the audiobook and let me tell you, there are no words to describe how amazing Rob Inglis’ narration is.

I've heard them a few times now. and I must say after listening to a lot of audiobooks and he is the best narrator I've heard

Couldn't agree more. The only comparable work in my opinion is Homer, specifically the Iliad translated by Charlton Griffin.

@@Veightard Rupert Degas does a solid Kingkiller Chronicle audiobook, for me on the (rare) level of Inglis.

@@Veightard Great idea! I can't recommend them enough, they're excellent. The world Rothfuss built is expansive and excellently written, but will require several listen-throughs due to the nature of his craft. Enjoy, let me know how you like them if you fancy!

Hey dol! merry dol! ring a dong dillo! Ring a dong! hop along! Fal lal the willow! Tom Bom, jolly Tom, Tom Bombadillo! Hey! Come merry dol! derry dol! My darling! Light goes the weather-wind and the feathered starling. Down along under Hill, shining in the sunlight, Waiting on the doorstep for the cold starlight, There my pretty lady is, River-woman's daughter, Slender as the willow-wand, clearer than the water. Old Tom Bombadil water-lilies bringing Comes hopping home again. Can you hear him singing? Hey! Come merry dol! derry dol! and merry-o! Goldberry, Goldberry, merry yellow berry-o! Poor old Willow-man, you tuck your roots away! Tom's in a hurry now. Evening will follow day. Tom's going home again water-lilies bringing. Hey! Come derry dol! Can you hear me singing? Hey! Come derry dol! Hop along, my hearties! Hobbits! Ponies all! We are fond of parties. Now let the fun begin! Let us sing together! Now let the song begin! Let us sing together! Of sun, stars, moon and mist, rain and cloudy weather, Light on the budding leaf, dew on the feather, Wind on the open hill, bells on the heather, Reeds by the shady pool, lilies on the water: Old Tom Bombadil and the River-daughter!

I read the books as a kid, but I must say, I'm enjoying the audiobook more than the films. In fact, I often go back a chapter so that it lasts longer :-)

There are hints of it before, particularly when Tom is singing of Goldberry, but I love how the tone totally shifts when Goldberry joins in with him. All of sudden, one is like "Oh snap! I don't know exactly what this is, but it is Deep Magic. This is the Earthsong!"
