That first bomb to Evans was on such a pretty trajectory. I keep having to remind myself that I'm watching a man who is over 45 doing these things. It really is hard to fathom.

It seems like "competitiveness" is really the magic ingredient for a QB to play well at the NFL level over time. I study "how the mind works" and enjoy this channel because it lets me pair what I watch for (in movements & decisions) with "how the game works" play-by-play. There's something different about the mindset that certain QB's like Brady, Jackson, Burrow exude... I have my own secret list of "categories" that can basically be called my "Mental Toughness QB Rankings" but fierce competitive drive by players like Tom Brady, Joe Burrow (because it is long-term strategic) it tends to out-pace brute mental toughness of players like Baker Mayfield & Geno Smith (if either of them locked into their inner "competitive strategist" they'd be ruthlessly good). Tom Brady is as close to being "a perfect storm" in every category I've created and the only way his multiple Super Bowl wins could have an impact on the categories would be as a confidence boost to his inner dialogs.

At 2:03 - also a good job by 69 to start shoving 95 in the ribs as he goes to jump and swat at the pass. You can see 95 stop raising his arm and bring it down and the ball goes right over his fingers - if 69 doesn't get into him maybe he keeps extending and swats the pass.

Crazy that he's 45 (almost 46) years old still doing this stuff. We'll never see another 45 year old throw 400 plus yards and have 4 touchdowns in a game...assuming we ever see another QB that's 45 years old. Considering how impatient and merciless the NFL fanbase and owners are when people start declining, I don't really see anyone playing past 40 unless they're a proven champion with multiple rings. Drew Brees made it to 41 before he fell off. Ben almost made it to 40. Aaron is 39 now and probably has a year or two left. People need to realize how amazing and unprecendented Tom Brady's career really is. I just don't see anyone playing this long ever again.

Kind of hard to tell the concept with how Godwin is being manhandled and can't run his route, but it's something with double go's (looks like potentially double move/stutter and go's) on the outside and either an option or maybe dig in the slot, with a flat to that side and a chip hook to the other side. Quarters coverage, which is really the perfect look for taking a shot to one of those outside go's one on one

24:53 I don't think Brady got 'got, I think #17 didn't recognize the green and didn't get his eyes around for the catch, Brady held up and got squashed. #17 puts eyes on 12 and thats a 10 yard completion.

What I’m seeing here over and over again is Brady making good throws with good to excellent protection. (By Charger standards, ie, what I can expect Justin Herbert to get on a regular basis.) Even the clips where JT’s saying “someone in his lap”, he’s usually talking about inability to complete the follow through - he’s had three seconds. This isn’t generally applicable to what I’m interested in. My guy doesn’t get that much time. Actually, that’s what I need to see, my guy. He’s different enough in terms of handling pressure that he’s a special case. I visited the quarterback school’s patreon page, I can’t tell if it has more Charger specific content. This KZfaq channel has one, the game against the Cardinals. I imagine if we can win a postseason game or two, our chances of getting a closer look will go up. 🙂 ps - I’m sure every NFL fan has the same request lol

Nobody is dumb enough to play til 45. Even josh Allen said “yeah I don’t want the brain damages that comes with playing til 45” so you can’t exactly compare Brady to other 45 year olds who have never even played.

The way Brady play is why he can and wants to play till 45 m. Gets ball out so fast doesn’t take big hits often at all so he does it right and knows he can continue this way
