We need to educate young people that smoking is dangerous. My uncle started smoking when he was only 14 due to per pressure from his friends. He then went on to smoke for 30+ years and suffered pancreatic cancer as a result. His cancer is gone now, but the reason he even had cancer in the first place was a direct result of his smoking. He tried to quit so many times before but it was always very hard for him. With that said, we need to educate the young people that smoking is bad and will cause illness later in life. The earlier we educate their young minds, the better!

To be fair, what gives you cancer is smoking in general, whether it's tobacco or marijuana. Smoking in itself is what's harmful, as you're inhaling all sorts of carcinogens and crap. Marijuana, ingested in other ways, is harmless.

They need to bring all of these anti-smoking ads back, man! Bring back these old days! I'm seeing quite a few smokers on the street, still! Everytime I see one, I'm reminded of these ads!

Ive started experimental when i was 13 became a regular smoker at 14. Now im 21 and im smoke free for 16 days now.. I know i will sure as hell stay quit i hope i never develop throath or oral cancer or what cancer whatsoever. I dont wanna scare myself nor i wanna scare others. I just want to say quitting is always a good thing to do and even if you get cancer years after quitting. You still are better of then if you had smoked for those years and then get cancer. Maybe you wouldnt survived it.

My granddad got bladder cancer from smoking 10 years after smoking. Although he smoked for 60 years so it's a little more understandable

I know I would probably be dissed for this, but even though tobacco is dangerous and they keep selling it, right now on the boxes they have warnings on them, saying they will cause cancer and other diseases. People who smoke have to be responsible too, not just the tobacco companies.

marijuana may not be as bad, but it still is bad, who wants any kind of smoke to fill up their lungs, and it may not be proven to be harmful, but why take the risk and use the excuse of "hey, its ok if i smoke weed, its not as bad as tobacco"

ha no. there have been shows showing how people behave while using marijuana; those who smoke and drive are twice as cautious and drive slower then those sober and especially compared to those drinking. Anyways not everyone is the same, some people actually have enough common sense to not drive while on any meds. Go to california and buy some medical marijuana at a dispensery and read the package; it says "DO NOT OPERATE ANY VEHICLES OR MACHINERY" just like alcohol.
