I sent you some love in God Mode, which was the first reaction I watched. But I thought I’d share my story so you don’t feel alone. I met my husband when I was 18, I’m now 57. I was a stay at home mum and he was the provider. He suffered on and off for years with his mental health over his life choices, a failed multi million dollar business losing the family home, then a work accident where he lost a leg just to name two of the major things and without going into any details throw in amongst that illegal activities surrounding us with scum. Last year at the age of 59, just after he had made life comfortable for us again his demons hurled him into the fast lane and he took his own life. He left home without a kiss goodbye nor did he leave a note. Now I’m trying to keep a small 50 acre farm working 60kms from the nearest town with a half renovated house all while looking after my disabled son. What money I’d get for selling the farm would only buy me a small house in what you would call a ghetto in town that would surround us by more of that scum. I know I can handle all of that because I’m a strong person (some say stubborn 😝). What I struggle with is, he was my soul mate asking me to marry him on our second date and I moved in after knowing him for five days (it was the 80’s 🤣). We were together for 38 years and our love and loyalty to each other never wavered. But I’ll never know why he left me here alone or why after everything we went through he didn’t love me enough to stay so we could grow old together like he promised we would. Tom’s song ‘Castles’ is about the heartbreak people keep hidden. I can’t listen to ‘Hangman’ just in case it’s to real. But my favourites are ‘I’m so crazy’ and ‘I hate hip hop’. I pump my Tom playlist all day long. Keep strong 💜🫶🏻🇦🇺
