Tom Holland chats with Access Hollywood at the premiere of "Onward" and shares his thoughts on the "Back to the Future" deepfake ( • Robert Downey Jr and T... ) making the rounds with him and Robert Downey, Jr., standing in for Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. Tom loves the clip, but says he would never remake "BTTF," because he says it's already a "perfect movie." "Onward" hits theaters March 6.

I agree with Tom BTTF is by far the most perfect movie Spielberg has created and shouldn’t be remade, but if they were ever to do a TV series I would think Tom would be the best actor to play Marty McFly.

@@JossPayne I can probably count on one hand the amount of remakes that were actually better than the original (stuff like, Ocean’s 11, Scarface and The Thing for example) but they’re mostly films that already had plenty of room for improvement. In the case of films that are considered classics like Robocop, Ghostbusters, Psycho, Poltergeist or Back to the Future, where is there to go other than down? Hollywood needs to remake movies that had a good premise but ultimately didn’t live up to their potential... the only reason they want to remake those big famous films is because the brand recognition is bigger so they figure they’ll make more money.

Bob Gale and Robert Zemeskis are completely against a remake and they own all the rights to the franchise. For as long as they live they will not allow a remake and I'm pretty sure they have put it in their will that they don't want a remake. For a remake to happen we need both of them dead and their families going against their wishes.

The interviewer did what everyone wanted to see this young talent do, saying the line. Would have been a prefect Marty and Robert - Doc....he does kinda look like Michael and Robert too have similarities with Christopher, so big YES! Thank you!
