I’ve ordered some noise canceling head phones made by Sony from amazon that will be here soon. That will make my experience of listening to new music a lot better. I appreciate you guys and absolutely love the suggestions of songs I should listen to. I’m excited for this journey of listening to music I’ve never heard before. :)

Tom got married and was a father at age 16. He stayed married to his wife Linda for 59 years until her death from cancer. He admitted to being a ladies man and wasn't exactly faithful to his wife when he became famous though they both chose to stay together. I don't know about him getting a broken heart during all of those years as the song implies, but he was devastated when his wife died. He was born in Wales....

@@normanmckenna9888 "I'll Never Fall in Love Again" was a song written by Lonnie Donegan and Jimmy Currie, and first released by Donegan as a single in 1962. Tom Jones, Elvis Presley, Sam Sorono, Richard Marx, and a few others all did cover versions of this song.

Tom Jones has had a very long music career. He was 27 years old when he appeared for this musical performance on BBC. Jones was already a seasoned veteran in the music business. having appeared on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in the US a couple of times earlier in the decade. Tom Jones recorded a cover of the Prince song, "Kiss", and made a music video for the song.

Music and singing has always been a massive deal to the people of Wales. They have produced some of the greatest singers like Dame Shirley Bassey and Sir Tom Jones. We love them dearly.

Tom Jones was born in Wales. The national game in Wales is ruby and singing comes a close second. If you ever hear the Welsh sing their national anthem at a ruby home game in Cardiff Park you would understand the connection. The Welsh are Celts. They are a proud, independent people with their own language. But their greatest feature is the nurture and warmth they show to outsiders. I went there when was I was a young lad and to this day I still bask in the warmth of their love and affection. I love everything about Wales. Needless to say, I especially love Tom Jones.

This song was written for tom by another famous british music artist called lonnie donegan, who sadly passed away in 2002. But if you ever watched the voice talent show who tom was a mentor on, lonnie's son peter unbeknown to tom came on for a shot at fame, and tom was the only one to go for him and he was shocked to find out that he was lonnie's son, they ended up doing a duet of peters fathers song, it's quite an amazing story, people say it was planned and scripted, it wasn't, tom had absolutely no idea who he was until he introduced himself after doing his performance, it's on youtube, check it out, it's quite emotional.

Great reaction. The great legend Tom Jones. He can sing any genre and has had hit songs from the 60s to the 2000s. He was knighted by the Queen for his contributions to music and has had many other awards he had his own TV show from 1969 to 71 which is on you tube,and you can check out his many different genres and duets he sang on that show, singing and dancing live with no auto tune or lip syncing . He is still singing today at 80 years old and is a judge on The Voice UK. He was also known as The Voice for his vocal power which few could match. He is from Wales which a country known as The Land of Song due to its many great singers and choirs. He is the son of a coal miner and actually had tuberculosis when he was 12 to 14 years old and was bedridden for those two years. Luckily, he recovered and the rest is history.

When someone's voice gives you goosebumps - that is talent. Rest assured Tom Jones was the heartbreaker, never the heartbroken. lol. He grew up dirt poor in Wales, fell in love with a classmate, she got pregnant YOUNG, they married and they stayed married until she died not long ago. He was a serial cheater, he flaunted it, was an awful husband, but they never divorced. He managed to keep a good relationship with her and his son - staggeringly charming people can do that. I still like Tom Jones but I doubt he ever suffered a broken heart in his life - he was too busy doing the heartbreaking. His voice is astounding - first rate singer.
@normlee6566
@normlee6566 3 жыл бұрын
Dude, during his heyday, he was the heartbreaker. He just is the rare singer whose voice can bring out emotions within the listener...it doesn't necessarily come from any inner pain or experience. That is why this song is so well-liked...it was simply his performance and the feelings it brings up. The only comparable example I can think of, is Whitney's Star Spangled Banner during the Super Bowl post-9/11. Her rendition just brought up feelings wihin each listener.

Ah Mr Jones! He was born around 30 miles away from where I currently live. There's a reputation in the area for having some big actors and singers from this area of the UK. We have the likes of Katherine Jenkins (kinda know some of her family), Catherine Zeta Jones, Anthony Hopings, RIchard Burton, Michael Sheen, etc etc. When I was at school we'd hold mini Eisteddfod's every year for St. Davids day, we would ALWAYS WITHOUT FAIL end up singing Delilah kzfaq.info?search_query=tom+jones+delilah The teachers hated it but.... still. We did it. lol

Tom Jones is probably best remembered for the title song in the James Bond movie "Thunderball" but he had a few albums to his credit. Another male singer with a big voice was Gary Puckett and The Union Gap. His biggest hit was probably "Young Girl" but he had a string of hits around that time.
