I began listening to Tom Odell’s songs last year. My first song was Another love because it was (and it still is) his famous masterpiece. But then I found all his albums and… OMG, they are just wonderful! They’re not worse than Another love but practically nobody knows about them. Actually, that sucks. My personal view is that Tom deserves more ❤️😌

It was 4 years ago, I got into my friend's friend car, my friend was just playing with his phone, and as soon as I heard this melody coming from the car I knew it's this song, and I asked isn't this "I know by Tom Odell?" And his eyes sparks he was so happy that there's people out there that appreciate artist like Tom Odell and I have the same feeling because I've recommended this song to too many people and not much of them like this song. And because of this I became more close to my friend's friend instead. Time flies, Got into uni, got a job in China, he also gets a job overseas. Perhaps, one day we might met and drink coffee together again.

I'm 41, and I find the older I get, the harder it is to be excited about new music. Chemically I don't have as much going on in my body and my head as I did 20 years ago and I mean that both naturally and unnaturally. So when a song makes me feel young, and alive, and remember why music connects us and makes us feel alive it should be recognised. This young man is a class act, and this song is genius.

I am 61 and I think it is just we know how a song can change your life-and how decades later you can still tell the temperature it was when you first heard it-usually in a basement or in a car. Anyway, we didn't have a video with the lyrics! And we paid for it!

My gosh, I wish I could find a musician boy who cares for me like Tom obviously did for the girl he wrote this about. It's not like I couldn't love someone who wasn't musically inclined, that's not the point... I just feel like anyone who writes lyrics as tender as Tom's would be such a beautiful soul. It's so rare to find people who are willing and talented at expressing their vulnerabilities, being honest with themselves and others about their feelings. I love him so much and his music is... Wow. I can't describe his music it's just beautiful like poetry but still so sad and cruel like life. Still, I come back to his music every single day. So, this songs make me think about a thing. I imagine this as the soundtrack while two people invite me to enter a door in the clouds saying "welcome to heaven". there I meet all my friends online, friends in real life, relatives, loved ones and we laugh while this song plays. literally, it's midnight and I'm listening to this song with the headphones on and my eyes closed, and I feel light, for a second I heard those voices, it was a beautiful feeling.

I can see that in the beggining, like a reflection of innocence... but the chorus is really sad... it's like everything changes and turns into something hard and shocking "I know that you told me..."

I think there's a happy tone in it bcause odell is reminiscing his memories of his girlfriend. U know when sometimes u laugh at your old memories. Well, its the same. I think it is in the part 'the way your hair curls in the rain' n 'the way i yearn, the way i cried' n he is also happy knowing tht he will still fall for her n he knows that they will work it out again. N another love is another different story. Just my thoughts :)
