"Yeah it's pretty clever, but it's got no soul." I feel like this is exactly what sets his music apart from many other artist's music. He puts genuine emotions and soul into his songs. And like he said, sure, a lot of popular songs are clever, but they don't all have that same authentic soul

I prefer his last album for his raw emotion. The vocals where so intense and filled with so many different emotions and although the last album may be more depressing, it was truly a work of art. I love Tom for his vocals and for his piano playing which is what the last album was all about. I like how he has changed it up with this album but I'm just not digging the songs as much. I love concrete in terms of his live performances as they are more acoustic sounding along with songs such as Constellations, Somehow and his acoustic version of Magnetised are magnificent but I just don't dig the more techno, heavy use of instruments used within his songs . I still love the other songs such as Wrong Crowd especially its live version but I'm more of an acoustic lover when it comes to Tom. His voice and piano playing has not being used to the full extent in this album so far which I wish it had but nevertheless it's still beautiful

I love the concrete stutter line at 2:45. It reminds me of 'My Generation' by The Who, stutter lines, but less rock and roll, smoother, more sexually charged kind of song. Love both, but it's great to have Tom Odell making the music industry, more about music and less about industry.

Its so rare that a musician gets overnight success. Its almost always a combination of really hard work and someone giving the musician a chance. However, getting noticed doesn't always work because if an artist is just copying a sound then no one cares. I have studied a lot of musicians and most of the successful ones truly don't care about fitting in and just love making music. Tom is like this and it shows. I use the same mentality. if you're one of those people to give a nobody a shot, stop on by to see what I'm about, I've been putting in the work and it may surprise you. Either way, keep loving the music!!

Have you listened to his live version from a year back because it's him playing the piano and it's much more piano focused also his vocals are more dominant in the live version. I like this version however since I'm used to hearing the live version I prefer it live but check it out

Wow!!! Great song. Tom so hot with those melting eyes. Your music is so much better than the every day boring stuff, that fills our charts. You need so much more recognition. It is so rare today to find an artist like you. There is only one, Tom Odell and you will always be loved for your music. Great backing vocals 💕
