What's up with the crowd, they seemed totally uninterested, I even see some people looking the other way,..that's the Tom Tom Club on stage for christ sake, Genius Of Love track is one of the greatest groove songs of 80's & every artist from pop, soul & rap sampled that song to death, even to this day, how can those stand still while this mammoth jam is playing , that crowd sucks,....

It’s April of 2024 and I’m watching this, now over ten-year old video, for the first time. The comments here seem to be pretty harsh towards the audience. A simple Google search reveals that the event isn’t a rock music festival. It’s a fundraising event that is intended to support the mission of the Eden Project. By 2013, Tom Tom Club (not Talking Heads) was already the sort of band that books at county fairs, wineries and TJ Lubinsky PBS fundraisers. These people aren’t doped up in preparation for a performance they just showed up to. They’ve been there all day, participating in seminars and tours of the facility. They were probably spent before the entertainment even started. Enjoy the music and be kind to others.

This song is classic, My childhood was in the 80's and this song was on heavy rotation jn N. Y. C., lots of other classic songs were made from the sample of this song, damn crowd looks like they at a damn body viewing!!!

Its 2018. This is the first time ive seen the artist, altthough when i first heard it , I knew they were Caucasian singing and doing a great justice with a funk, RB, dance track.This song was very popular on R&B stations in it's hayday.. I listen to our #1 pop station back then, the came on board few years later, but even then is was short lived. Most folks here probably never heard of it.

Tom Tom Club shows are ALWAYS fun. I have seen them with Escape from New York tour in Kansas City and in NYC at S.O.B.'s, Central Park. They generate so much ENERGY and I would LOVE to hear more from them and SEE them again LIVE!

As someone who grew up in the 60's and 70's this is the first time I've heard this group/song and I'm not sure how to classify it. Pop? Techno? Disco with a hangover? New Wave Turning Old? Screw it. I'll put it in the "I really liked the Hell out of the shit" category. Apparently someone flew over the crowd with a crop duster and sprayed them with Valium, but despite that I thought it was a great song. I can't believe I'm saying this but I would actually pay money to see them perform...something I would not do for their contemporaries. And who's the knockout backup singer?

Why is everyone insulting the crowd ? They're not musicians ,they don't appreciate the different facets of the song ,even rap rhythm thrown in.
