As I read your comment, the song was still playing. I visualize as I read and I could see the funeral play out with the song in background. It brought tears to my eyes. I mean no disrespect, i know what your son went through with addiction. It's so hard to stop. And you really want to. So it becomes a battle inside yourself. Usually the addicted self wins. And the true self, the one that wants to quit, the one that wants to live becomes miserable because it's fighting an endless battle and too scared and ashamed to ask for help. I was that person for over 10yrs. I'm on the path to full on sobriety and have been able to stay on it because of GOD and complete honesty with my immediate family. And completely cutting off every one in my life that I did all that with. Which was basically everyone I hung out with. Best thing I ever did. They r not bad people just make bad decisions and have bad habits. But I can no longer be around them. I'm rambling, I'm sorry. I will pray for u and ur son. And I'm sorry he lost his life to drugs. I'm sorry you have to go through all that. My heart goes out to you

Tears come to my eyes everytime I hear this song becaus e it's the song my Dad played on his phone when scattering the ashes of the family dog on top of the first and last munroe (a munroe is a mountain which has a height above a certain level) that she ever climed! This dog had been with me all the way through childhood and most of the way into my teenage years but she passed away after we had to make the "one way trip to the vet". This dog had lived longer than everyone excepted, she fought and defeated cancer and defeated conquered many many mountains in her life. She loved to run, swim in the sea, chew bones that were literally longer than she was, chasing anything that moved (even leaves) and loving life. R.I.P Lacey! 28/10/2007-28/08/2019

Our tour guide played this on the bus as we traveled the beautiful Scottish countryside. I lost my husband in January, and this just brought tears to my eyes. Such a beautiful song, and the bagpipes are amazing!

Same for us. Our tour bus driver played this song while on tour of the Scottish highlands and fell in love with it instantly.

I was intrudes to the red hot chilli pipers, by my son as his yr 7 teacher was a member of the band. Sadly for my son he left the school but what a great introduction to music, his form teacher was Bobby Seagull, great teacher look him up. The school lost both but thank you both xx

The second someone mentioned you were all alone I could feel the trouble coursing through your veins Now I know, it's got a hold Just a phone called left unanswered, had me sparking up These cigarettes won't stop me wondering where you are Don't let go, keep a hold If you look into the distance, there's a house upon the hill Guiding like a lighthouse to a place where you'll be Safe to feel at grace 'cause we've all made mistakes If you've lost your way I will leave the light on I will leave the light on I will leave the light on I will leave the light on Tell me what's been happening, what's been on your mind Lately you've been searching for a darker place To hide, that's alright But if you carry on abusing, you'll be robbed from us I refuse to lose another friend to drugs Just come home, don't let go If you look into the distance, there's a house upon the hill Guiding like a lighthouse to a place where you'll be Safe to feel at grace 'cause we've all made mistakes If you've lost your way I will leave the light on I will leave the light on I will leave the light on I will leave the light on I will leave the light on If you look into the distance, there's a house upon the hill Guiding like a lighthouse, it's a place where you'll be Safe to feel at grace and if you've lost your way If you've lost your way (I will leave the light on) And I know you don't know oh, but I need you to be brave Hiding from the truth ain't gonna make this all okay I'll see your pain if you don't feel our grace And you've lost your way I will leave the light on I will leave the light on 'Cause I will leave the light on
