You can say what you want about Tom Wopat but I know he showed up at a remote military post in the 90s where I was stationed. At the time his popularity was high and I really couldnt understand him being there but we appreciated it none the less. Made us feel special for just a night . Thanks Tom !

I was 12 or so and met him at a outdoors show in Bloomington IL. Being an uber fan of the show I walked up to one of my favorites in awe and he said 6 bucks kid. Wouldn't talk to me or anything. I'm 45 now remember like it was yesterday. I still have my original 12-14 inch metal General Lee

Tom Wopat has got to be one of the rudest celebrities I have ever met. I met him back in 1993 at an event in Kentucky. He charged something like $20 for his autograph. I got an autograph, just because I was a huge Dukes fan as a kid, but I wasn't impressed with him at all. He got booted from his hosting gig on "Prime Time Country" on TNN several years later. When he got arrested for groping the actress and admitted that he had a long-term addiction to cocaine, it didn't surprise me.

Yup…was super excited to get a photo with him and the cast at a festival a few years back. NOT a friendly guy in person, even after paying for the photo op. Daisy and the rest of the crew were super friendly and personable. I was heartbroken as I had a huge crush on him from way back when. Live and learn.

I met him not a fan I just went and copied what I posted the day I drive little over an hour to see him here’s whati posted Went to a show today to meet Tom wopat luke duke from the Dukes of hazzard! Ended up being not a good experience because he was kind of rude. He walks in and talks about how they are going to run the line and pictures and stuff. He grabs some cd albums one of his An one of him and John Schneider that was a Christmas album. He says my son is needing dental medical bills payed of $30,000 to help him?? So if you want one of them it’ll be $20 and it’ll get signed. Through out waiting to get the line moving mind you I was early in line so I was right at the table. He says y’all go ahead and feel free to go ahead An pay now another comment he made was now we’re talking money. Seems like he’s all about a dollar….. I had a picture of the general Lee jumping my console lid to my charger An my 1/18 scale diecast general Lee well before all this happened with getting started signing And stuff. I read the sign where it said $20 for signature and picture with him $50 for any car part signed. I had 3 items An I took the other 2 back to my truck because I decided to get my die cast car signed because each item you get signed is $20!! So if i would of had all my stuff signed it would of been $90! I just won’t doing that so back at the table I’m next to talk or what ever to Tom and the guy taking money behind me for people getting stuffed signed was gonna get his Sun visor from his car signed but changed his mind. He told the guy taking money nah I’m not doing that nicely just saying he changed his mind. I’m right there at Tom and Tom mocks the guy for what he said… so Tom said laughed a little in a smart ass way An mumbled nah I’m not doing that. It pissed me off because of the guy don’t won’t to pay $50 for the same signature but on a different item I don’t Blame him. I started to leave the line but no I didn’t go there for nothing it will make my die cast worth not that I care or will ever sale it but still I decided to stay. I told the guy behind me that said nah I’m not doing that what Tom did but I told dad I’m gonna say something dad said no just let it go it’s not worth it even though he was irritated too. But I got up there shook his hand he asked if i wanted my name on it i said yeah he signed it. then i said i was gonna get my car part signed but i cant afford it which is not true but tom said well wheres your other stuff i said in my truck tom said well come back later an well see what we can do some times we cut people deals. he looks at my dad and said whats your name sir dad said kenneth and he signs one of the albulms and hands it to him an says the case is broke but. i think he saw the disgust look on my dads face an gave him a cd. but when tom first came in he said something along rhe lines like when you leave dont leave mad. well…..

There was no best episode of the Dukes of Hazzard. They were all equally the best of the best and the best show ever to date to be aired. I really hope Tom gets back on track, especially after this last DUI.

Awwww yeah! The Dukes of Hazzard! That and Knight Rider were two of my favorite shows as a kid. Never missed an episode of either! Now if there was someway somewhere that would rerelease all episodes and seasons of both of those shows I'd binge watch both while downloading them. NO MATTER! What anyone or ANYBODY Say's! The TV SHOW The Dukes of Hazzard was the BEST TV Show for ACTION, Fast High flying Jumps EVER!!!! They will NEEVR Make another one like it. Daisy was the Hottest woman in the worls at the time. Tom Wopat was the Better Fighter. John Schneider was the Better of the Drivers. Uncle Jessie was the one who laid the law down and Taught Respect and How to really be raised in Live here as we know it. Sorrel Booke was a Drama Actor whom spoke 7 - 9 Different Lanuages Including Japanese. James best was Funny as heck and had been on Westerns when he was younger. Great Actors. Al Wats Jr. was the Stuntman who drove the General Lee the VERY MOST! Did MOST Of the Stunts! Also by his credit, is the 229 Ft Jump over the Creek with the General Lee. Boss Hogg has a Mortgage on everything except the Barber shop. I could Go On and GO ON about this TV show as it was MY Favorite show when I was younger. As a Matter of Truth right NOW I am Watching the Dukes of Hazzard RIGHT NOW. Excuse me!

Agreed. It's a bit underrated in my humble opinion. It's a bit of everything for western lovers. A bit if that blazing saddles vibe while still allowing you to soak in the seriousness of some things like the Hateful Eight without taking it a grotesque level like the Hateful Eight.

Poor guy got a DUI in Wisconsin in June of 23. Thankfully since he had not had one since 2006 it was considered a "first offense" as it had been more then 10 yrs.

He was from Lodi Wisconsin just a little over a hour from Adams Wisconsin where my grandparents lived, I love that show, I can relate to his situation since I myself had a couple DUIs from road blocks leaving a casino with free beer in Mississippi, that doesn't mean a person is bad just stupid is all 🍺🍻✌️

Met him at Duke fest 2013. They say don't meet your heros. He was a total as"hole. Asked me if I could have left my dog outside of the building when getting a $20 autograph. My service dog!! I asked if he was joking. He replied "do I sound like I'm joking " then rolled his eyes and asked a woman to usher me along. The woman who escorted me outside apologized to me for him. It was a good hour before I realized what happened. Waited 30 years to meet that guy.

He seemed shocked that I couldn't have left her at the door while I came in and got his autograph. I had many conversations with many people that very day about how off-putting he was. I’ve spent quite a bit of time with Wopat over the years working multiple Dukes events. He’s arrogant, narcissistic, unkind, and just plain rude. Schneider is kind, warm-hearted, and a gentleman. James Best (Rosco) was an amazing man as were Denver Pyle and Sorrell Booke (all US war veterans). Sonny Shroyer is as genuine as they come - a true southern gentleman. Catherine Bach is kind of in-between Schneider and Wopat. She can be genuinely kind but also can be rude and stand-offish. They’re people with their own personalities and problems like the rest of us, but they put themselves in the public eye and opened themselves to scrutiny.

I actually like the season with Coy and Vance no it wasn't the same without Bo and Luke Tom wopat John Schneider but Byron cherry and Christopher Mayer did the best they could with what they had can't blame them for that they even admitted themselves that it wasn't a very good time they were called in for a job they did the job the best they could the best they seem fit they were never there to replace Bo and Luke they were just filling in for them until they came back a lot of people don't understand that Byron and Christopher both knew they wasn't going to be there long they just made the best out of the time they had their and now Christopher Mayer the one who played Vance passed away several years back God rest his soul I say God bless them both they did their best they tried much respect to them for that!! ❤️🙏

As a woman, just let me say this. When he was charged for "assault" he had not assaulted those women, he just inappropriately grabbed them in the rear and women, no matter how feminist you think you can be, that is not assault. I think too many of you use the term too easily so that you can gain a lot of money because assault means that you were beaten, punched, kicked, all that violent stuff that leaves marks and bruises and you have de-legitimized victims of actual sexual assault. Grabbing your rear end is not sexual assault. It is sexual harassment, but not assault. And it is wrong to make such a serious accusation because when it gets down to it, you would be more offended by the men you wanted to grab your rear end and didn't. Stop being so greedy that you look for anything that will get you a dollar. The truth is, you don't mind when men do it, but it depends on who the man is. Exactly right.

I used to fight with my step mom at that time because she wanted to watch something else on a different station at the same time slot but I can't remember what it was. I tried to sit through a complete episode of the duke's probably about twenty years ago and couldn't do it 😂

One time, I was really sick and I couldn't sit up straight without a ton of pain. I had a laptop that I never used, but I dusted it off and plugged it in and, low and behold, the only movie on the laptop was the Dukes of Hazzard movie. I watched the thing, sick in bed, and it was absolutely terrible. But, if you're ever trapped in bed with no access to literally anything else in the world, you might as well watch it.

Everyone has problems including John Schneider too but booted from Hollywood for life! That’s crazy! He has good Hollywood career and music too but problems, yes! Everyone has problems not just actors or actresses! Duke of hazards is one of my favorite 70’s 80’s shows! Those good old days, television is awesome for a kid like me because we have six million dollars man, the Incredible Hulk, the duke of hazards, buck rogers and not to mention Saturday morning cartoons and the list just keeps on and on…
