HI im really new to this, the motor is listed as 88A and the stock ESC is 35A, so how that ESC can manage all that extra amps without catch in fire?

What a beast with the new setup on 3s Phil, I ended up speed running my FY03H rock racer on 2 & 3S lipo the other day on the stock out runner brushless setup and it went pretty decent, I'm looking at getting this one soon!/thanks for sharing mate! Thumbs up! :D

This was my 1st hobby grade rc car I got. Sadly I had 2 replace the ecs motor 2 axles and a drive shaft. Upgraded it all as everything broke. Waiting on full metal upgrades from everything if I could do it again I would have just got a 12428 and shoved a brushless in that thing lol they are bashing kings haha

2840 5000kv like that is what I run 2S in a little outrigger hydroplane direct drive to a 1.4 pitch 27 or 29 mm surface prop... gives insane speed.

I have the same car and have been having some issues with it. The esc just blinks I can steer but I cannot go forward or reverse did I fire the esc?

Does the new motor fit exactly? Or did you modify it a bit?

Does the better motor effect run time?

I have two because an actual car ran over my first one (dead serious). The damage wasn't repairable, but I was very surprised how wel the car kept it's form. Apart from wheels breaking of and the rear axle destroyed, the body had only one fold and the roll cage was still intact. It's practically bulletproof. The second one isn't actually a feiyue but an Amewi (SC12). Saw it on Amazon for €111 with another motor (390 brushed) and a 2 in 1 receiver ESC. So I drove 4 packs but it drains the battery much faster. So I took all the electronics from the 1st one to tuck those in. But now everything is out I thought, maybe a motor upgrade would be smart now. So will the original feiyue electronics tolerate a bigger brushless motor or should I toss 'em? Love the vids, keep 'em coming!!

How are yall not stripping the rear Diffs. I'm on my 3rd axl. I'm only on 2s. 5200mah 80c. Gotta battery coming 4000mah 40c. Hope that saves the diffs

I realize this is sort of past the expiration date of this vid but i still thought id ask, ive got two 3s lipos sitting around from when i was flying drons, as you showed this car is pretty uncontrollable on 3s but might it be alright on kid mode with 3s after running down the 2s on regular? Asking because im considering picking one of these up and might be able to save on putting out for extra batteries straight away.

Hi mate, quick question: I'm trying to decide between fy08 and fy03h - they are similarly priced, but i was leaning towards the fy03h due to it being a bit larger and looking more stable especially when motor is upgraded. Which one would you recommend between the two? Sway bar is a big plus on fy08 but my main concern is ride stability with as little flips as possible. Edit: I just checked the specs and seems i was wrong in size comparison... It looked like fy08 was smaller but their specs look identical. Price wise i can find fy03h about £30 cheaper so not sure if it's worth the extra for the sway bar.

Any chance you can gives us a better look at the rear suspension next time you feature FY08, as I own a FY03 myself and I've been looking to buy some of those anti-roll bars found on FY08, but I'm unable to find them. Perhaps the manual has it listed?

Really interested to see that suspension upgrade. The other springs already worked out quite well (which ones did you use?). It needs to be nice and plush and the truck should hang in its suspension a bit standing still.

I commented on your other video on this truck and mine is stock but cuts out like that. Why would the esc cut out on stock battery and motor? Or is it just a lemon? Mine that is.

What oil shocks are people upgrading to on this model?

Can I keep the esc stock and just run it with the new motor 5480kv. Or will it burn the esc? Any esc recommend if it does.

I am so frustrated. Today arrived the new motor + esc. But I couldn't install it. Can't take off the pinion from original motor. The screw are too tight or glued to the motor axle.

What Kv is the motor. I just bought a 5480kv. Not sure what that means though.

As an additional post hop up have you considered adding a steering gyro on those models with a stock 3 wire servo. Might be a useful to see if it tames those squirrelly models and might even let them acheive a higher top speed

I installed the same motor, a 60a esc racestar, dumborc x6. way faster! On 2s never tried 3s.
