Yet what Michael said here is true. It's always Tommy driving the family forward. It's Tommy's ambition, Tommy's gambles and decision. All of the stuff that happened happened because Tommy wanted it to. His hand is on everybody's shoulders. He moved to bigger heights that the rest of his family just couldn't handle and he kept moving on despite how much danger it put his family in

Michael's brain was pierced with a .45ACP, notorious for being fat and slow, meaning on impact it would rapidly start to slow down (as compared the 9mm, or a metal spike in Gage's case) and impart all that energy. Also, from what I hear from the account of Gage, he was stunned momentarily, but was (essentially) back to normal almost immediately, we don't see that with Michael. Michael is definitely dead. You are right though, Tommy should have definitely double tapped to be absolutely sure.

I haven't seen the full show through, but the line "your lethal hand is always on our shoulders" is so so powerful. To me it symbolizes the show. Tommy, no matter what he does and for what reason, is nothing more than death walking. He kills nearly everyone who isn't family.

I think both, Tommy and Michael were right, Polly was an adult woman with her own decisions but Tommy was the boss and we saw him lost control when he lost people because of his decisions. Tommy knew this moment would come and was afraid, Michael was a young version of him.

The fck you on about? Tommy has come close to dying so many times throughout the show. Everyone wants to be around Tommy when times are good but when the chips are down they all blame Tommy. That’s some shitty family right there. Everything Tommy does is for the betterment of his family and they don’t mind if he gets hurt but when it shit happens to them then everyone is quick to point the finger. The only loyal character throughout the whole show is Johnny Doggs.

I know this sounds crazy because Polly loved Michael so much, but I feel that despite the fact she'd not be able to forgive Tommy, she'd have deep down known he made the right decision to protect himself and the rest of the family.

Polly was smart like that. Absolutely loved her character!
