Welcome to my channel Mountain Mine Explorers where I explore abandoned mines throughout Colorado taking a step back into history. Subscribe to my channel so you don't miss my videos of uncovering the mining history that has made the western states what they are today! We will go deep into mines from the 1890's dropping hundreds of feet down to explorer places no one has been is over 100 years. This is Mountain Mine Explorers.
In this video we are exploring the 100 and 200 level of the Tommy Knocker mine in the mountains of Colorado. Part 2 of the 300 and 400 level will be out next week so stay tuned!

That ticking sound throughout reminded me of a geiger counter! LOL That was a nicely timbered inclined shaft on a 45-degree angle, and it had a lot of stuff to explore in it. Those unsupported ceilings in the stopes next to the inclined shaft are always pretty scary. Nice video! Looking forward to Part 2!

Hey thanks for checking up haven’t been on KZfaq much the past couple weeks I see I have a couple videos to catch up on your channel, as to part 2 of this video not being uploaded or any others videos it was because I dropped the camera with the footage down a 250 foot mine shaft into some water, and my vehicle has been having some problems so haven’t been able to get out mine exploring and probably won’t be able to for the next couple months

@@mountainmineexplorers I’m sorry to hear about your camera taking a plunge 250 feet down a shaft into some water! Vehicle problems, too, can be a real pain as well. Hang in there with everything, and I hope to see you back out there by the end of the summer. Thanks for the update, man!

just a suggestion from a fellow mine explorer, prospector, and climber... Maybe DONT mention the names of the mines and their location so future generations can enjoy them and experience the fun that we have. when you state the names and location they are more likely to be closed off, and made inaccessible by the BLM. just saying. if people wanna know where they are they can ask in a private message.
