In his timeline, he chose to remain by Rita's side after the spell over him was broken, learned dark magic from her, and helped her conquer the world before eventually disposing of her. "Black Dragon" is his morphing call. The Black Dragon that call references is a size-changing suit of armor, forged from the remains of his old Dragonzord.
