the great thing about morrison was-you knew someone was going to get knocked out. either him or the other guy. he was exciting. he fought some heavy dudes! he stepped up to the plate. gotta respect him for that. also his record shows 43 knockouts. he set the pace and went for the knockout. thats what boxing fans want to see.

people say the thomas wasnt in his prime for this oh well...it took riddick bowe about a year before this 9 rounds to stop thomas...it took morrison only 1 round...and tommy as still learning at this point...thomas also won a shitload of fights in a row after this fight...so know one can say thomas was shot...tommy whooooped his ass hardcore! remember when thomas said "morrison hit alot harder then tyson"...i sure fucking do!!!

I don't think that it is entirely true that he had a glass jaw throughout his carreer. He had a problem at first like when he fought Mercer, but by the time that he met George Foreman in the ring, I would sa that his chin had gotten tougher. I say that because Foremans glancing blows could make a man dizzy and Morrison took some big shots in that fight, never went down and won the fight on a unanimous decision.

@comedicstuff Interesting matchup. I think I would side with Golota a little on this one. He was bigger and taller than Morrison and had better skills and a better chin. The best way to beat Golota was with an aggressive onslaught as was evident by Lennox, Bewster and Tyson - but that wasn't really Morrison's style. He would try to systematically break him down which would work against someone that big and strong with a real good jab. I'd pick Golota, probably by late TKO.

No, but if you say Pinklon wasn't washed up after losing his fifth fight in six fights, you're stretching the win more than a tad. Pinklon Thomas later on admitted his nose ate up his earnings and body. When a boxer says in his corner, " I'm through", that means he wants to retire.

To be blunt, prime Foreman would've annihilated just about anyone in the ring.To this day, the only person EVER to have survived prime Foreman's true wrath is Ali. Foreman lost another fight shortly after Ali but he wasn't in that fight to win it. He just wanted to prove that he could go the distance.

Morrison was underrated but really, he wouldn´t stand a chance against a prime Tyson. Tommy didn´t have a good chin at all. Maybee if he could have landed a lucky lefthook. Tommy lost my respect when he ran away from Foreman, sure he won on points, but he looked like a chicken, and Foreman saw more of Tommys back than front in that fight.

He punched and walked punch and walked, he didn´t fought anything in that fight. But of course he won, but it didn´t feel right. And i can´t agree that he is an intelligent fighter. He fought stupidly against both Mercer and Bentt. Mistakes that ruined some of his potential career.

Nonsence! It´s a difference if you turn your back and walks away and if you don´t come forward. Both Ali and Leonard boxed, Morrison didn´t. But you have to give some credit to Morrison by beeing a chicken there. He got an oparturnity to fight for some serious money, but maybe he should had ran away from Bentt to. He really could have beaten him with that method.
