There are so many videos out there showing caulking, tiling, etc. But you guys show what's needed and explain why your doing it the way you do to obtain the desired end results. Thank you Tommy's Yard!

Sir, Thank you so much. For the very first time in my whole life I have been able to silicone the countertop in my kitchen, without creating a real mess. Yes the silicone is waterproof. The curing time will depend on the product itself so always read the manufacturer's instructions. I would say at least 12 hours

Very helpful video. I left the tape on overnight and removed following day - catastrophic - silicone feathering! Key learning point for me is the need to remove tape 'immediately' after applying mastic. Thanks again!!

Very helpful video. It was my first time doing my tub myself and I'm quite happy with the results. Only problem is I accidentally bought transparent silicone instead of white so I have to redo the tub again in a few months... But at least its not moldy anymore :)

Thank you for this video! For a single mom doing the remodeling myself, I love these type of instructional videos. I did not know the secret about the mineral spirits, thank you! Very simple and easy to follow....The tape makes sense to me, even if people skip this step. You don't have to go back over the caulk line to make it "straight"...Awesome!

What also helps is running the bead of silicon and then spraying over the line with some soapy water from a spray bottle filled with dishwashing detergent and water "1:10 mix". This prevents the silicon from smudging or sticking to the tiles around the join. Thus eliminating the need for masking tape
