They should bring this plot back. I feel it’s more important now than ever. In 1996 it still was cool. But considering how we’ve seen media in the past few years be. This would be much more relatable today now than ever

I loved watching bond movies especially Goldeneye/TND as a kid, and still do. Never occurred to me just how sassy M was in this scene 😅 that reply about not having to think with balls is an absolute zinger 🤣

Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies are my two top favorite bond movies (usually, depends on my mood). I still love Diamonds are Forever, You Only Live Twice, Man with the Golden Gun, and A View to a Kill though as well.

This is why I believe Pierce Brosnan is the quintessential James Bond. he embodies everything James Bond should be. Even Albert R. Broccoli (film producer) thought so that Mr. Broccoli offered the James Bond role to Pierce Brosnan in 1983 before Timothy Dalton (2nd choice) but Pierce turned it down because he wasn't sure he was qualified at the time to do James Bond justice. But even in the 80's tv audience knew he was James Bond while he was working on "Remington Steele" tv show.

Julian Fellowes making a small appearance here as the Minister of Defence . Who I assume is the character Frederick "Freddie" Gray's Successor , in the context of the films. Makes me wish he had showed up in The World is Not Enough and possibly Die Another Day. His demeanor and rapport with Pierce, Dame Judi, etc.. is Spot On. This is the Same man , who went on and created Downton Abbey, and The Gilded Age... Julian Fellowes is a Low Key Legend. Does his thing acting, got the money to make his own stuff, put it out, made a household name of his creations. They could have used his character much more in the other films. I also kinda wish they had included a little scene where Bond actually sees that newspaper for the first time at a stand, either at Oxford, or in traffic coming through London, and grabs it to bring with him to show M, The Admiral, And The Minister of Defence.
