Good unit at good price point for a young family to be able to get started camping with 1/2 ton. Wide stance axles and outdoor kitchen are really nice. Tub in the bathroom makes sense on this one I think because I picture a family with younger kids. Factory needs to go ahead and install the solar panel on there...enough to maximize the charge controller. We just appreciate how you do what you do. Your the best. Thanks Nerd!

I like! A king bed in that size is unheard of, and in a private bedroom no less. I like the bright, wight color palette. Neat bathroom door. It's nice to see a little bit of style. Window in the bathroom is always welcome. A tub, or shub, is a good thing in bunkhouse. Either/or. It's only for the wee ones either way. OMG!! I love the shot of you sitting in the base of the dinette booth. Classic Josh!

The Michael Jackson joke made me lol! Had to go and watch it again. The RV manufacturers should be solar ready. When I buy an RV, I want it to be ready-to-go. Not have to pay for this and that after the sale. I would just like the complete package up front. I know that not everyone wants everything, but I feel a lot of people do. You would know more about that than me. Love your jokes and sense of humor!!!

For a family with smaller kids I think the tub is a good idea. For empty nesters or those with older children who are too big to use the tub as a tub I think a shower is better. The king bed does take up a lot of space especially for hanging storage. That is a drawback for folks who use the trailer not only for camping but also use it as a personal hotel room where the extra hanging storage and room a queen would provide more comfort.
@JoshtheRVNerd
@JoshtheRVNerd Жыл бұрын
Weirdly the king bed _doesn't_ cause hanging storage to be lost because the mattress actually overlaps under them. They're normal sized

I love the look and features of this trailer. As a young family (2 kids 5 - 10), it'd be great for us...when it evolves in a year or 2. lol. 1) That dinette looks amazing, but with the legs pushed out 3", and a slide that pins, so it can slide in and out, so people can pass it in "Road Mode", or actually fit behind it when deployed and camping. 2) Check top bunk rating...should be 300 lbs, but it would do and support a couple of kids+ at it's current 200 lb rating. 3) Outlets on the face of the bedside tables would be pretty awesome. 4) if not standard, add options for 100, 200, or 300 watts factory solar panels (I think 350 is about the limit for a 30 amp charge controller), 5) I love that the outdoor kitchen is complete. And when I 1st saw it, I was wondering how it slid or rotated out, to get to the buried sink. So either moving the grill to a swing out arm, and positioning the sink in a more direct reaching spot, where you don't need to reach over the grill, would be awesome. Bonus) If the sink moves left (aft), and the stove swings out (and maybe kinda stores over the sink); if where the sink is became some storage under the bottom bunk, with a sliding (or something) access door, from the inside, my wife would put the litter box there. yeah, we also roll with sand box dumpers and a dog. lol I have zero concern about the slides lack of rear window. And Josh, take a look, your "Small Town RV Nerd" channel is getting close to 200k subscribers. You are clearly doing something right. And by that, I mean a lot. You Show, demonstrate and educate on nearly everything related to RV's and that entire world, in an honest, open, informed, and entertaining way. Corny jokes and all. which are normally funny, in my humble dad opinion. lol. Sign looks wicked. I hope that makes it to other Bish's stores too. I also love that they are basically encouraging you to keep doing, what you're doing. Thanks for doing what you do.

Not a bad unit for the price point. Seems like a great RV for the 1st time buyer or someone that's stepping in to their first new camper from their smaller previously owned camper. Cons (personal preference), I like darker interior, but I love the kitchen layout. I'd prefer the toilet be against the outside wall to allow a straight shot in to the shower. I realize they set it up as they did due to keeping water lines on the interior walls instead of exterior, but...(like we'd say in the car biz, it is what it is) I think it looks like a great value for the features, amenities and NEW for the price point. Great camping without breaking the bank! Over all, nicely done :) Lovin' that axle spacing!!

Hi Josh 🙋 Tub good for pet baths. King would be a waste of space for me. Rather have a double and more storage. Only in bed to sleep 😄 Guess could use the bunk for storage. 🙁 Option for no bunks? Not hauling kids. Don't majority of solo & couples NOT haul around kids? 😳 Bigger stove/OVEN. Table & chairs ( for 2 ie couple!) instead of dinette. So called shoe garage good place for a tootsie toaster. Awning should cover camp kitchen & come w/ladder! Needs a generator. Majority of places i camp solar is useless. Can use a my gooloo IF absolutely necessary.

I love this North rail I wouldn't know where to find one unless I went to Michigan. Is a possibility. This one is great it's got the funks it's got a giant dinette. Cute bedroom it's short and so am I so I'm not going to bonk my head in the bedroom. And it has the heated underbelly which is actually one of the most important things. I think it's wonderful. I'm actually going RV shopping tomorrow. Thank you for your videos and I wish that I could find one of these here but I don't think that's going to happened. To me, Solar Ready should mean: Connections are in appropriate places, you just need roof panels, and batteries drop em in and hook em up, and there is an option you can buy to do it, or the dealer has a kit they can drop in. Maybe a rail system that you need to add too for the panels on the roof, but there should be no drilling, no wires pulled, just really plug and play. Maybe the controller can also be added instead of included as they tend to find the cheapest knock off there is. Anything else to me isn't ready at all.

Classic Josh moment at 7:25. Love it! This model looks like great balance between features and cost. I think tub would help keep shower drips off the floor, so that's a good thing. Our GeoPro has a little tub, and we find it's a good place to keep soft cargo like duffels and grocery bags from shifting around during travel. With 110 VAC mini fridge outside, I'd think this will be most often used with full hookups, so lack of solar panel might not be a liability. On the other hand, having a couple hundred watts of solar would help keep the inside kitchen 12 V fridge going on travel days. But folks could also deal with travel days by just loading the fridge with a few big frozen plastic water bottles when they leave home. Question on the wide stance axles: Does that create a noticeable amount of tire scrub when turning in tight parking situations or when driving on winding roads? Thanks, I appreciate the effort and humor that you put into your work!

I like the wide stance, the camp kitchen, the no heat vents in the floor, the no carpet in the dinette, the usb plug in the bunk lights. The good sized kitchen counter and big sink, and the hugh pass thru storage bay in the front. I don't like the bath tub, the bathroom sink faucet, the dinette, no fireplace, the no struts on the overhead cabnits.

Hey Uncle Josh hope you're having a great day? I really like this North Trail 24BHS. The inside is amazing with the double bunks, the nice size u-shape dinette and the king bed. They done a excellent job of being able to get to everything in road mode. I think the only thing that I would change is the tub an shower combo. I would prefer to have just a shower in the bathroom. I don't understand why the top bunk is rated at 200 pounds and the bottom bunk is rated at 300 pounds. That is a neat trick taking a fuse an plugging it it the cord like that,way cool. As always Uncle Josh thank you for everything that you do, your number one fan Leonard Nelson from NC. Keep rocking on Uncle Josh!!!!!!

Depends on the brands and segments you're looking at. Some brands focus more on one consumer than another. A couple's camper is generally considered something without bunks So you're not looking at couple's campers with bunks You're just looking at campers with bunks if that makes sense There aren't specific definitions for a lot of things in the RV industry but rather it's like a roughly commonly accepted group of terms that can sometimes vary regionally

Laminated roof with lauan layering Plywood floor decking There is a reason you don't tend to see common azdel in floors and roofing: It's not as a strong. Azdel has great qualities but it does rank behind wood when it comes to screw retention rates and horizontal load bearing capacity. So it's OK in walls It's not good in roofs/floors There are other composite types used in those areas but not the types of things that fit within this price point

A tub is a more versatile option, simply because a lot of families have small kids and I can tell you from drippy splashy experience that it's a lot easier to bathe a little kid in a tub than in a shower. I know a lot of families with littles end up taking collapsible tubs with them when they go camping and then have to struggle to fit them in someplace so that they can put clean and relaxed kids into bed at night. In terms of space, a king bed takes up too much room in a camper of this size, and I think families who are at this price point, it makes more sense to have more space to move about and to have some storages space in the bedroom. and at I think your customers are going to look at the practicalities as being more important than having the luxury of a bigger bed (and a lot of folks don't even have a king bed at home). I like this kind of floorplan a lot and it offers small famiies with smaller budgets a great way to go camping.

I have a Mallard 251BH which is the cousin to this model and my awning is 18ft. It goes from the rear covering the outside kitchen all the way to the front where this one is attached to the coach.

I was really looking at this one to replace my Rockwood, if something happens and i have to replace it. And this thing got real close, but that camp kitchen is weird and it's not covered by awning like on my 25brds and you also lose the free floating table and the extra outside storage that Rockwood always makes sure to use.

Thank for the great videos. I can't believe that you have to reach over the outside grill to get to the sink. Ouch! Why are the bunks a 1000 lbs dif? And the solar set up needs to go all the way and be ready to go. Enjoy the information

I opted to utilize a second comment for the camp kitchen according to the displayed overhead layout: Pro: I like the 3 piece Con: The sink looks to be useless as positioned? Why don't the put the appliances in the order from rear to front, Stove, sink, fridge? It makes no sense to me that manufactures split the fridge and sink up. I honestly don't think they thought the camp kitchen option through very well :(

Great video. Maybe just me, but I really didn't like the bathroom door decor. The outside kitchen is nice, But, the sink is in a terrible location, I feel the solar is half done. Don't understand them not at least putting a 200 watter up there. Ladder prep but no ladder? Another out of pocket expense? I do like the U shaped dinette. You are correct though. 3 people. Maybe mom and dad and 2 small kids.300 pound lower bunk because of extra support from the outside kitchen. The awning is a bit small. So, I like, but don't like?

the awning and slide buttons being low are in perfect child reach. I'd also worry about accidentally bumping it or our large dog bumping it. also, not a fan of brands not offering 2 way fridges. we boondock a lot and it just rubs me the wrong way when a brand blocks out a customer demographic on a unit like that.
