Based on my experience comparing Tonal weight to Free weight. You can multiply Tonal weight by 1.35 and you'll be very close to the comparable free weight.

Is there data or testing behind that? Honestly curious. I’d like to have a true multiplier to use. How’d you come up with this?

Interesting, I found this to be the opposite for me. Curling 25 pound dumbbells is a lot easier than curling 25 pounds of tonal weight. But that’s just me.

@Nocapper I’ve been using this machine for just over four months. I’m in my late 40s and people I haven’t seen for a while are noticing a difference. Two have actually asked me if I’ve been working out. I also use the machine five times a week.

@OddKashi well I’m certainly not a bodybuilder by any means. But I definitely have muscles and other people are noticing them. But being in my late 40s I would have to say I am currently in the best shape of my life. But here’s the thing, it’s not about the machine at all. I could’ve used free weights, gone to any gym, bought any machine, but it’s the dedication of working out five times a week which is why I’m in the best shape of my life. It doesn’t matter if I’m using a tonal or not. It’s about your own personal dedication! It’s not up to whatever weights or machine you’re using. It’s up to you!

Shelves are just cheap floating shelves from Amazon lights are WS2812B LEDS from Amazon powered by wled. Stay tuned for a video involving that setup.

The dynamic weight adjustment is interesting but also worrying. If one body part is weaker than the other you probably should be working weight targeting the weak part so that the muscles are balanced. Seems like dynamic weight adjustment would just encourage your you body to strengthen what's already strong while adding to the imbalance of your weaker muscles. Maybe i'm misinterpreting it though.

I feel like it's the other way around. It's allowing you to finish the rep without letting your weak parts stop the rep, if that makes sense. Hard to explain but I feel like my body is way more balanced than it used to be.
