I loved the look of this bass, but it seems to sound too modern for a fender precision, I really like the vintage vibe of these basses, it's very conflicting to think about it.

@@phipschi4255 I just got one of these green Player Plus P-basses. No, it doesn't have a passive tone control. At first I was kind of bummed about that. But honestly, it sounds so much better in active mode that I don't think I'll be missing a passive tone control. It does pretty much any kind of a sound I could dream up in active mood. It's a very nice bass. It caught me a little off-guard as to just how good of funk slap tone this thing gets. That midrange control does some serious cuts and boosts, and when cut, it gets a superb slap tone.
