@@adorable3817 Yes "the girl with the dragon tattoo" is Swedish, and I'm not sure what the original title is, but I know in Spanish it's "men who hate women".... So that just goes to show you what happens to a book's title in translation. Yes, 1st there was "Gone Girl", which was a big sensation, but I did not like it. Then "The Girl on the Train", "the girl in the window" et cetera et cetera It's pretty much reached the point where I will not read a book if it has "the girl" or "the woman" in the title. Where are you living?

@@adorable3817 Mysteries? Lol, I've got a little experience there....do you like cozies, or noir? Try Leonardo Padura's Mario Conde series....the first 4 set up the character and can be a tiny bit redundant. The next 5 continue with the main character a now retired cop who now makes a living buying and selling ised books during Cuba's special period, reading what he buys before turning them over, lol. Yrsa Siggurdarsdottir from Iceland has a good series. And, while not the best in a traditional sense, Ken Bruen's Jack Taylor series grows on you. (I just like Galway, and Ken was funny, so I picked up the series. They read fast, so I've read them all. A bit like the Harry Hole novels, except he writes the hangover with more detail. But the mystery is often solved more by chance than by Jack's intellectual power) Have you read all of those?
