MIT offers a free film studies course, Sir you are very educated and I love you channel. I dream about being like you. Your sense of drama, story, camera work. And your story board skills are legendary. 😊 I can’t wait to see every video you have on myself I am all in journey for the last 10 years to learn and being better student. And I find this very refreshing.. Great detail in your presentation.

the Film Studies tip is so in depth, and appreciated. I've looked into many ways to do studies and not a lot of people actually explain outside of 'study professionals'. knowing HOW to study is important, i think

I appreciate his honesty, the level of disrespect is 2 out of 10, which is in the acceptable range, in this context it's even constructive!

Ooh, I love that tip about drawing out the room as a stage and using that to visualise potential effective shots, it's such a cool idea. Definitely want to remember to use that one in the future ^^ Thanks once again for the helpful video :D

clip/photoshop is basically 1:1 but they can harvest your art for AI so make sure that is turned off. Blender is free and if you have difficulty imagining depth that would be a good one to use to learn to block and build.

Hello, I’d like to direct movies someday. But I’m not sure if I want to do animation or live action. Animation seems like it has a lot more creative control inherent to it. Should I go to school for this? If so, what schools do you guys recommend? Thank you.

If your trying to direct movies then I personally think going to a good school would be worth it since there's a chance you'll have access to numerous connections to help you reach your goal. That's just my opinion, but determining your end goal in what your trying to achieve will help with your decision making. This hope helps in some way 🙏🏾 Edit: I heard calarts is a good school for directing.

@@OFFICALBREEMATIONSTATION ah, thank you for your reply. I’ve looked into calarts before, and it looks like a great school. But I don’t know if I can afford it; tuition was like ~60k a year. As an Indiana resident, I just don’t know if it’s within my reach financially. I’m currently considering attending the animation course at Huntington University. It’s 20 weeks for $5k, but I’m doubtful it’ll give me any connections. As a visual artist it kinda sucks feeling like I can either stay here in Indiana to be around my family or leave it all behind to pursue an art career. My college years were more fine art oriented. I went to the LightBox expo in 2019, a lot of people were really nice, but I just felt like me and the people at the expo had different goals with art. Currently I’m taking the AI filmmaking course from curious refuge to try and learn more. My main goal, my dream is to have my own studio making animated films, but I also want to be one of the great American Painters. I know it’s overly ambitious but I want to be like Spielberg/Miyazaki for movies and the next Sargent of Painting. Anyway, I’m sorry for chewing your ear off so to speak.
