Tony Abbott fears ‘over the top’ COVID response will be model for next pandemic

Former prime minster Tony Abbott fears the government's over the top response to the COVID-19 pandemic will be used as the model for future pandemics.
It follows former health minister Greg Hunt’s attack on states and territories over their 'unilateral' health decisions during the pandemic.
“My fear is that without a fair dinkum royal commission type inquiry into the whole response to COVID, next time a pandemic happens, and it will, we’ll take the over-the-top response to this one as the model for all future actions,” Mr Abbott told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“The last thing we want to be is locked up for several years again in response to a disease that turned out to be relatively mild.
“I’m confident that inside the Coalition a lot of these issues would have been more debated than they seemed on the surface.”

And yet where were all the detractors at the time ? These guys are all Monday Morning quarterbacks at the time when we needed some sanity and protection of human rights and freedoms every single one of these clowns were onboard with what was going on and indeed went into beast mode against those like me who refused the jab .I was told i would not be able to go to a hospital,supermarket,pub,restaurant ,school or old folks home I would not be able to work and my rights were snuffed out.Overnight i became a discriminated minority in my own country

Yes. The remedy was worse than the illness to quote an old take. But,what has upset me is that it's just move on,get more jabs,blah,bl. What about m.s.m.talking more about this instead of it's all good,get jabbed for various reasons.
