I always marveled at how kind, humble and down-to-earth Tony Dow was, especially to his fans. It was fun to follow him on social media and even have a few interactions with him. I’m glad he was surrounded by love when he made his final transition.

Scott, thanks for posting these together in one place rather than looking all around the internet. The other day I posted that I didn't know about the movie "Still the Beaver " so I watched it for the first time and then yesterday this news. May he R.I.P. our TV big brother.

The movie served as a pilot for the Disney Channel series of the same name, from 1983-1987. The complete series (the very first sequel series, paving the way for today's reboots) is available on KZfaq.

It's true the CBS TV movie Still the Beaver in March 1983 served as a pilot for the Disney Channel series of the same name from November 1984-85. But it left Disney Channel at end of 1985 and resumed under the name The New Leave it to Beaver on TBS Superstation in August 1986-89. You're right that it's available on KZfaq and only because I spent two years transferring all my original Betamax recordings to my computer -- this movie and 101 episodes of the series the night that each one made its debut from 1984-89 -- and then posted each one of them on KZfaq along with many highlights I made. I did this because they have not been available anywhere for 30 years and I wanted everyone to be able to enjoy them again or for the first time.

RIP, Tony Dow! 2:24 in the background is the house used as the California residence of the Douglas family on MY THREE SONS. That house was on the backlot of CBS Studio Center, which was known as Republic Studios when LEAVE IT TO BEAVER was filmed there for its 1st 2 seasons before moving production to Universal Studios.

My daughter doesn't have the heart to continue watching reruns of LITB this summer with me because of Tony Dow's death. 😢
