Remember, Tony is just the messenger. Back in 1979 I had a guy like Tony and his people, they advised me to contribute into an IRA. At the time they explained that if you were in a 15% tax bracket and you invested, you made 15% interest that year. That sounded good to me and I have never stopped investing into my IRA and today it has grown over 7 times the amount I put in through the years. By the way I was a blue collar worker.
@GabrielDoesThings
@GabrielDoesThings 5 жыл бұрын
Kerry Gagnon can you elaborate on how being in the 15% tax brackets makes you earn 15% interest (in what I assume you mean to be dividends) per year?
@kerrygagnon467
@kerrygagnon467 5 жыл бұрын
@@GabrielDoesThings Sure! If you earned $60,000 per year and in a 15% tax bracket and decided to invest $5,000 in your IRA you woulds save $750 on your taxes. Free money to invest today. Now if you were to do this for 25 years you would have around $430,000 at an 8% return and at 40 years 1.5 million. At about 15 years your money really starts to grow fast and is truly working for you instead of you working for your money.
@Sam-ue9kk
@Sam-ue9kk 10 ай бұрын
@@kerrygagnon467 Isn't that true for a 401k, not IRA, since you have already paid income tax on the IRA money - the tax advantage being on growth not so much on tax deduction ?

I love Tony but this is stupidity for the average person. People don’t have a saving or investing problem, they have an income problem!! You can’t be an investor on the average 50k a year salary. It’s a pipe dream! You need to invest into yourself or your own business. Look at anyone who is doing well or is a real investor... they make most money from there business or income and never stop that.

Tony Robbins has made money the same way preachers, conmen and their ilk have; sell people "I know how to make you rich." stories in books or live events, or both. Absolutely everyone likes to hear this story, and will pay $ to hear it. I will save you time and money and tell you how to have $ 1 million: Save $500/month and invest in stock mutual funds for capital appreciation for 33 years. That's it.

Tony is correct that you need to own, but there is no more upside in the stock market or betting on the US economy. Stock market is overvalued and companies don't even pay dividends anymore. The only way to make money in anything now is to buy and hope others put in money after you. So do you believe people will put more money into the stock market or into Bitcoin and other cryptos. My bet is on cryptocurrencies. #BuyBitcoin

@@loaded8588 Yup, lots of great companies create great value for humanity, just not always for shareholders anymore because creation and distribution of US dollar is not predictable. It's possible/likely companies will be valued in Bitcoin which is distributed fairly and transparently. Bitcoin is simply the best tool/ledger that humans use to keep track of value among each other. Something we've been working to improve for thousands of years.
