Жыл бұрынToday I'm taking a look at Hasbro's Star Wars Black Series Force FX Elite Obi-Wan Lightsaber. Phew, yes that's the actual name of this product line.
But is it any good? Should you buy this $278.99 Lightsaber? Currently discounted top $258 amzn.to/3VAK07i
Or should you get something else? Like a custom, non-licensed replica like Roman Props www.romanprops.com or one of the many Etsy and custom sabers available?
This is the most accurate, licensed Obi-Wan Lightsaber that you can currently buy (I believe, correct me in the comments if there's another) But should you get a licensed one or not? Do you want one that you can fight with, that comes with a blade and Sound Effect? Then this might be the one!

I personally love this saber. Just got mine yesterday. I fine the Force FX looks much nicer then what Disney has to offer, especially with the blade attached and seems to have less glitches then any other Fx saber.

Yes, it's definitely the best licensed out there I think. And it has a nice weight too it too.

Yes this one feels nicer but technically the one Disney sells is more accurate with the weathering

I never had any of the Master Replicas, but this one isn't bad. As far as licensed I think it's the best one out there. I'm going to give the Roman Props sabers a try too

@@mariuscinematicuniverse I have a Master Replicas Anakin Skywalker saber from Episode III and the quality, build and brightness of that saber is truly something else next to these Hasbro ones! You have to get your hands on one!

I don’t know if it’s because they are older now but I’ve been pretty lucky paying anywhere from $115-$180 for all the light sabers I have. I feel like for those prices it’s pretty good buy.

licensed or unlicensed, most wont be thinking about resale, but if it ever comes to that the licence will get you a lot more down the line

I have that Saber as well, its my first "good" one... and actually first one in general... The only thing "annoying" is how sensitive it is to the blaster/deflect sound...

It looks good but for $270 I dont know if its worth it. Although, if you are a huge fan and want a good looking lightsaber its an option.

it's definitely a decent option, if you are looking for some certain features. But for the money there's some more accurate versions out there

@@HavanaOutpost you can't really, but i will say out of the 4 lightsabers that i own (3 being black series) i think this one is the best, the swing sensitivity is far superior and it has more blade effects and the hilt looks really good, i know for a fact in the uk you can get it for atleast 30% off right now so i'd assume it would be similar wherever you're from

You're expecting too much, especially when most of the people buying aren't die hard fans and couldn't care less about whether or not hasbro made the hilt to look like the parts it was constructed from originally, obviously overpriced for the plastic they're charging these new fans for

I don't understand why they had to make the piece that holds the blade thicker (not screen accurate). They're able to make steel parts half that size that hold the wheels on a sportscar, so why wouldn't they be able to make a thinner piece to hold a lightweight blade? Even if people decide to swing it against objects, which isn't advisable anyway, it should be strong enough to take that force if steel that size can hold a car's weight.

Hello there. I just got the lightsaber and I notice that the sound of the shock is very sensitive, can you tell me if there is a way to make it less sensitive ?

Bit late to having one but does anyone know if you can get replacement blades? Somehow mines scratched to hell

ooh yeah if it gets used i am sure it scratches easily. You can try and reach out to hasbro, they might be able to get a replacement. But I would give some plastic polish compounds a try. Maybe a light sand with very fine sandpaper and then polish. Car Polish compounds or Mothers Metal polish works really well too. But you might need to sand a little depending on how scratched it is...

Yes, you have to undo the bottom and replace the AA batteries

Are you sure the thin part is plastic one of your comments say it's metal I want to buy one and if the thin part is plastic I won't be satisfied with it for the price

it definitely feels like plastic, if you touch it with your tongue it is room temperature and not colder, like metal usually is. And overall the feel of the material is more plastic/resin like

I started collecting these and some of the Star Wars helmets and now my wife is looking at me like I’m crazy because we’re running out of space I bought my son the Yoder black series FX the Darth Vader black series the one that has the two little red things on the side I don’t remember his name And the printers layer that just came in today. I have the storm trooper helmet the Darth Vader and the Luke Skywalker in the Mandalorian black series helmets. I think for the price they are really nice especially some you could find on sale like the princess Leia I think I paid $120 on Amazon, I think I paid a little more like 180 and I think I paid $100 for all the helmets except Darth Vader. I think I paid 130 for the dark Vader helmet black series. I also have a few of the cheaper Amazon light sabers and they work pretty well and they take a beaten. I may put up a video of all our Star Wars stuff soon.

could be. It's an overall good Saber. especially if it's just sitting on a shelf or hanging on a wall. but there are some great ones out there for the same price that are more accurate to the actual props

Probably these KZfaqrs use to the neopixels that cost 900 but to us normal folk we are happy with what we can get ahold of
