I ran and it went great! I spent 15 minutes running, 10 minutes on the defibrillator and then 3 days in the hospital. I'll just stick to weights I guess..

This was really useful, especially the "getting started" bits. I used to run a lot back in army days, but I'll admit I've been lazy and just focusing on my lifting. Starting to get back into regular cardio now and it means not getting gassed in those long-ass squat sessions

Reminds me of middle school. Two football players extracting money from the chess team captain. Just kidding. This was good info as I get back into some HIIT cardio.

Distance runners who don't lift look so ill. This guy looks like he could of been the star in Philadelphia.

Peak fitness in any realm rarely equates to good health. There is a point of diminishing returns.

You can distance run and have a good amount of muscle, you just won’t be a top distance runner. There are a lot of runners who lift regularly but the ones who want to win races have to purposely keep muscle mass off to be competitive

Im 300 lbs but don't look or feel 300 lbs and I run but I have so much trouble because im so heavy my shins are dead when I try so I run as far as I can and keep a quick running pace and then run as fast as I can again. But man this weight is insane to work with.

Same here , I started at 352 and am 308 now and I still can't get right on landing on my feet so that it doesn't Hurt like all Hell ... and it's like my Calves and shins take 90% of the load of landing and the follow-thru of the step... Idk , maybe I'm not explaining it right . Running steps is easier and walking backwards has saved my life for real . Have u tried backwards ?

Y'all gotta catch ye some Coach Richard Diaz up on here. There are as much ways to do running, as there are LIFTING. Better point about it - what is not doing it, vs. doing it? Coach Diaz says Effective first - Efficiency after.. Don't sweat, y'all know how it iiiiiis 🐚🤏

...I will stick with swimming or boxing for my cardio....this dude looks skeletal. No offence I am sure he is healthier than me, just not the look I want

i agree with the skeletal part. even some ultra marathon runners look like absolutely normal people with full clothing on. though running is an incredible exercise. i personally love it, but i'd never go for endurance races - the calorie burn is crazy high, and going higher the more you weigh (think 200+ lbs)

If you run a 2-3 times a week doing 5 or 10km runs, you're not going to look like him. You're not a professional runner and you will never be, so don't worry about looking like him.

Unnecessary comment. This guy is an ultra runner. Meaning he needs to run wayyyy more than is necessary for general cardio in order to perform well
