It's not true that for the Olympics is too late. The reason you haven't seen it often is because adults don't try due to believing it's impossible. The Olympics used to be only adults. The last summer olympics had more older athletes then any in recent years. There were a number of gymnasts alone in their 30's and 40's. If anything adults have an advantage on kids. Kids had more injuries during their growing years. They spent their younger years beating on their bodies. They often retire due to those injuries. Most adults didn't go through those same injuries. If there is to be any change we need to push for it by believing and by trying.

Adleast she’s being honest most Olympic figure skaters start at really early ages and give up everything to become good at it

I want to figure skate, but I’m only 14 and nobody wants to drive me there. My grandfather suggested to Uber or take a bus, but I’m too paranoid for that... I just want to start figure skating as a hobby. And one question, does figure skating require or build up leg strength?? I’ve been horseback riding for almost 7 years, and though it sounds really dumb and like it takes no work or muscle building, it builds a lot of leg strength. Do you think this could help with balance and/or speed for skating in case I find out a way of transportation??

I hope that maybe if I go to college maybe I could have the opportunity to try but I fear it’s going to be to late. your videos inspired me to sign up for ice skating lessons. i'm having such a great time!!! for anyone wanting to start but thinking they are too old... i'm 25 & don't feel old at all on the ice. also no one cares lol the little kids skating don't think twice about it, my instructor is just happy to be getting paid, and anyone else is irrelevant. :)

I started skating when i was 9 in 2019 but because of the coronavirus lockdown I forgot how to do backward crossovers by the time I went to my figure skating club. Never give up in your goals! It is too easy when you forget but when you can become as good as this beautiful figure skater you won't regret your efforts, really. Now I can do a camel spin!

Im so thankful for this vid bc Im 13 turning 14 this year in may and I’ve been doing competitive rhythmic gymnastics for 7 years training 6 times a week 3 hours a day.I’m naturally flexible like REALLY flexible I never had to try while doing basically anything flexibility related and I’m really mad at myself I was lazy and didn’t work hard enough to use my abilities full out early on -_-I also used to do ballet as my main hobby at the Beginn but a friend of mine got me into gymnastics.I still do ballet every week.Then another friend who does gymnastics and figure skating as competitive sports took me to her rink once to try it out and I quite liked it so I’ve been thinking about starting figure skating for some time now.I‘m ready to work extra hard to catch up on all the other girls.My only concern is that I won’t be able to learn everything quick enough bc I really think my body has at least a bit of the strength that I’d need for skating so yeah I really hope I’ll make it.Sadly I can’t go skate anytime soon because of the pandemic but I’ll go as soon as the rink is open and safe. I watched Yuri on ice last week and it reminds me about my dream when I was 6 or 7 years old. I first saw a movie about figure skating (I don't remember the name because it was nearly 10 years ago :(( ) and I had an interest in figure skating, I even tried to do some jumps and spins like they did in the movie. I'm 17 now, gonna turn 18 in Nov, but I still remember that dream, it's like my dream is the skates, for 10 years, the fabric has been frayed, blades have been blurred but it's still there, it's still existed. I really want to start skating but the nearest rink is 3 or 4 kilometers far from my house and it's kinda hard for me to find a coach too :(( Anyways, I'll keep my dream inside my heart then ^^

i really wanna start figure skating so i went to my local rink last night- i've been ice skating before and they were never.. good experiences.. 😀 but i really want to start to get better! i don't really have a lot of leg or core strength and i tend to be hesitant and rigid when i'm skating so i can hardly move at all without clinging onto the wall :') i was there for two hours and about an hour and a half in, i was starting to get the hang of it (sort of..) but my ankle started hurting bad so i went home lol. i'm really determined to get better, i did really enjoy it even though i'm bad at it. it's just that i'm only able to go to the rink like once (twice is a stretch) a week. also i won't be able to start lessons for the 6-week course coming up because i'll be on vacation for the first week of lessons, and i'm also busy with the school play when school starts up so that'll take up most evenings. :/ if i could, i'd be at the rink everyday. i'm 15 and only just starting, and i'd love to be just as good as the professionals but i know most of them have been skating their whole lives,, :(

i’m watching your old videos because i’ve been wanting to figure skate since i was 8 and now i’m 14 and i’m moving to another state. currently, i live five minutes away from my rink, but in the new state i’m going to, the closest rinks are about 40 minutes away and i’m so sad about it :(

I'm 15. I know that if I were to even somehow get a chance to find an instructor willing to teach during this virus that I'd have to give up practically everything. I'd be okay with that, but the thing is, would there even be anyone who would want to teach me?

I’m turning 15 in a week. I had always wanted to do figure skating but I had a lot of self doubt caused by a member of my family, so I thought no one would like me or I’d be weird if a did something that was seen as feminine, so instead I just shut everyone out. And even if I did start lessons now, we don’t have the money and all the starter lessons that we found are for 4-6 year olds.

I'm 13 and I want to start figure skating,(maybe next year) but I'm so nervous and sort of embarrassed. I went ice skating for three of my birthdays and I had so much fun, I started going skating regularly. I could do a spin jump thing (I don't know the name). I'm 15 and I reallllyy want to figure skate for myself, I dont really want to go into competitions. But the thing is quarnteen is stopping meeeee!! They said that the rink is only open for lessons, but I dont want my first time on ice to be at a lesson, yk? Well it's not my first time skating. I got really good at roller skating but obviously it's a bit different on ice. Hiii! I'm going to be 16 in november, and i have been doing figure skating since i was 2. But because of leg injuries i needed to go under the knife when i was 12 or 13 and was only able to start skating again two weeks ago. I havent forgotten everything, but its hard and i am scared that its way too late. My only dream was to be a great figure skater one day, and it hurts to think that i messed it up.

I was gonna sign up for lessons but they're full >.< so I'll continue teaching my self stuff through youtube until I can sign up for the spring season xD

Once upon a time little 13 year old Ceci got Disney plus and watched the movie Ice Princess, the same night at 12 am she texted her friends and the three of them took a 6 week learn to skate class. Now i'm moving forward to their advanced classes, and the dream is to make their syncro team and do competitions. The End :)
