We used Sonlight Curriculum's preschool program last year in our homeschool. In this video, hear our thoughts and find a few substitutions that we made to make this program an even better fit for our needs.
This is an honest and unsponsored review, and all opinions are solely my own.

I'm wife to a Brazilian soccer coach and mama to two precious, bilingual boys. We live internationally and speak multiple languages in our home. If you ask my family where we are from, you might hear a little hesitant pause as we debate how to condense a lifetime of story down into a two-second answer. (Do we say the USA? That would only be about a third true. Brazil? Same deal. Thailand? Asia? Do we share that our families include in-laws from Europe and South America?)
We are on a journey to nurture our family at home and abroad--wherever we live.

We had a similar experience with Sonlight T! We used the program as written for about a month, but my daughter got bored of doing the same things with the letters and numbers every week. We ended up reading through the books quicker and dropping the other parts. We decided to go back through Gentle and Classical Preschool for a second time now that my daughter is 4. We loved it the first time around, but she was only 2 at the time. She is able to get a lot more out of it now. We are also adding some social studies, nature books, and missionary stories to it to hit on some other topics I feel are important. I'm glad you're doing videos again! I really enjoy your content. 😊

Phew! Glad it isn't only us! (Or maybe not glad, since it's kinda frustrating to be in that situation....Sorry.) Great job keeping tabs on what is working for your daughter! What are your favorite missionary stories series? I'd love to know, as we want to add more titles like that to our library. And thank you! I'm so glad to be able to be here again. This was so helpful! Can you say what made you decide to do playing preschool next? (I think I saw that in your other video lol) I’m looking at that and others you used as well! ☺️

Hi! Yes, we did decide to do Playing Preschool next. Good catch! 😊 I have a few videos coming in January about Playing Preschool (overview, look inside, review, preview of a unit, etc.). But here are a few reasons why we chose that program: 1) my boys are extremely active and need something to occupy them but I'm not the best at coming up with ideas (lol); 2) we ran out of our other curriculum before the end of the school year and needed something downloadable because we live overseas; and 3) because a friend (who is a special education teacher) had used it and enjoyed it. We LOVE it! I highly recommend it. I plan on making a video about what we would use again from the preschool years, but I'll just say it here to maybe help you out: We would use most of the books from Sonlight 3/4 Preschool (but only a select few from the 4/5 program), the art and music pack from Gentle and Classical Preschool, the general guide from Gentle and Classical Primer (not the science or any of the paid material), Logic of English Foundations A, Kumon workbooks, Scholastic Jumbo Pre-K workbook, Preschool Math at Home, Kindergarten Math with Confidence, and Playing Preschool. (Sorry if that sounds confusing!) Hope that helps! Again, I'll explain more in a video coming out later this year (probably March). Let me know if you have any other questions before then! 🥰

did you think the handcrafts in gentle and cassical was too advanced for your childs age

Yes. We didn't even try. 😂 I felt that the handicrafts were aimed at the upper age range of preschool/kindergarten, which makes sense because Charlotte Mason philosophy doesn't rush children into formal schooling. 😉Have you tried the Gentle and Classical?
