When she was on The View later in the year, her tempo was much slower, and her phrasing was way more subtle and expressive.

I love the subtle fluctuation in her volume and she keeps the faster pace at this early age. And the end is great. She is so cute as well at this age.

This is probably the fastest version from her that I've heard. She likes to slow things down, and apparently had to persuade the guitarist on The View to take it slower before she was satisfied. Here she probably just went along with what the hosts were doing. But it this really live? An 8-year-old on a late-night show? Oh well, I guess Angelina can sing anything anytime. She's a true professional after all.

Yes, I agree with your comments. The tempo here is faster, and it seems like almost a perfunctory performance, but it’s just another time when Angelina fits the situation with her version of the song. She just gets up there and sings better than any 8 year old ever. She handles the interview so easily. She is already a veteran of these situations at 8 years old.

Remember this was just after her Norway win so it's not certain how many times she had actually sang this song if st all before she decided to sing it here. But I love your analysis of her even though sometimes we as fans that have heard her so many years have seen just about everything she has ever performed because grandma Merry films it all lol She is relaxed about the music,not so relaxed about being on National tv😊

This is actually the starting point among the many Fly me to the moon's and it shows very nicely how quickly the development progressed at that early time. "Gloomy Sunday" audition was in fact prerecorded months before it was broadcast on March 7th 2014, so it was still 7 years old at that time. TV2 broadcast a total of seven shows with auditions starting in January and the last one was broadcast on March 21st, earlier in the day than this appearance of Angelina on the late night show. Within those 14 days, Angelina's audition video already had 5 million views on YT (which is the number of inhabitants of Norway). This talk show appearance was four weeks BEFORE the semifinals and six months before The View on ABC and you can only marvel at the progress in that short time. Obviously it is faster than on The View, but she still had enough room for a perfect ending here. Also she didn't really like how the sound Echoes in the room it was throwing her off she made a funny face at the very beginning when she heard it echo around,, she didn't like it of course,, it was a faster speed which she knew,, it got her through with it faster ,, because she didn't like the sound of the mic that was coming from her, and echoing to the speakers in the room,, ,, ,, she is such a good sport and she did it anyway,, we know her Quality,,, Awesome!!
