I love watching de clutters! 🥰 I just went through my own collection, and I managed to go from 34 palettes to 5. I even got rid of most of my Natasha Denona palettes ( I used to have all of the large palettes, I kept 3). Got rid of about half of everything else too. Even shocked my husband. 🤣 I’ve just finally come to the realization that I’m not a collector, I hate anything that feels like clutter, I’m not a youtuber, and honestly I’m in my 40’s and pretty basic in my eyeshadow choices. It felt so good!

I have hundreds of eyeshadow palettes and I recently did a huge declutter of them. I got rid of over 150 eyeshadow palettes so far. I sold most on Mercari and I gave about two dozen away to my family. All were barely touched and lot were brand new. I still have another 100-200 I need to sell or give away. It’s an exhausting process. But there was absolutely no need to have over 500 eyeshadow palettes when I’m not a youtuber or anything. I just really enjoy makeup.

Oh yeah, good job! I’d love to see you go back and revisit some of these. Like once a week a shop my stash video? I always see those videos don’t have as many views, but I love seeing new looks with old palettes, especially since I own so many of them! 😂

When I’m decluttering eye palettes I will go through and depot certain colors that call to me and make a separate z palette. I’ve learned now to stop buying palettes and investing in good singles that I like and will use.

Mel, you have one of the very very best eyeshadow collections I’ve ever seen! I love how you take such great care of every single palette you have and even keep some of the packaging sleeves and boxes on some. I’m going to have to rewatch and rewatch this video because some of the palettes you showed off are so beautiful!! And why have I never tried Nabla eyeshadows? They are gorgeous! You are braver than I. Eyeshadow is the thing i am a sucker for. I cant imagine going on an eyeshadow No Buy, thats what my nightmares are made of. Dont get me wrong, i dont think i go crazy or anything. I do buy new palettes very selectively. But just the thought of not being able to buy Any.... for Months... it gives me anxiety to think about. Lol

I have a box specifically for makeup I'm keeping but not using either because of memories or collecting. That way it's out of my makeup space but I still keep it because I can't stand opening up a drawer and seeing all the space taken up by makeup I'll never use again but refuse to get rid of

I like the platinum hair!! I LOVE the Tarte Trust, Lust and Fairydust, and not just for the packaging. I even bought a backup. I get complements when I wear that pallet. I know that you weren’t thrilled with it in the first place, but we all have different coloring in our skin and different tastes. I would never de clutter PatMcgrath, Natasha Denona or Viseart either. Love that Juvia’s Place violets mini pallet. That’s the only one of the mini’s I got. Haven’t tried it yet. Love all my Sydney Grace. Thanks for telling me about them. Glad you are feeling better.

I have given away so much already, but I do need the space and I need to get the older stuff out so I can refresh with things I really want and will use. I love your channel and I love you, but this has to be the the funniest declutter I’ve ever seen! I know you’re a collector, but Mel girl! I swear you kept at least 5 nearly identical palettes in just about every category! My husband was in the background saying “she’s keeping that...she’s keeping that...she’s keeping that...” even before you said it. He was especially confused about all of the matte palettes you were keeping considering Viseart pretty much has them all covered. I have 700 bottles of nail polish, so I think he was projecting. But you do you! You have great taste 😍😍😍!

I’ve let go of a few things recently too. I gave a few palettes to friends and if I had any samples or things friends didn’t want - I gave them to a local theater company. It’s nice to make room for new stuff sometimes.

I’ve decluttered so much over the years that I can name all the brands I own. No one really appreciates hand me down makeup so I won’t be buying much color until my 50 plus palettes get discontinued. The Brands I love and have most of: Melt, ND, Pat McGrath, Menagerie, Huda, Visart, Juvias Place, Colourpop, Limecrime, Marc Jacobs, KVD, Tom Ford, ABH, Norvina and JSC.

Lynn Briggs that’s what I thought when I got it but it’s not that great unfortunately-the pigmentation just isn’t there so a lot of shades look the same and also my guess is most of them wouldn’t work on deeper skin tones. All of this made me very sad because Beijing opera is my makeup inspiration and red shadow is my favorite

The only pallet I have is the Two Faced Peach matte . I use every shade in that pallet. I also have put together my own pallet with Makeup Geek. I can’t do the green, blue and yellow shades they put into pallets. Single shades is the way to go . That way you can pick what you will use for your skin tone and eye color.

Love declutters and your channel!!!! It's funny how the only Too Faced Chocolate Palette I have (Bon Bons) is the one you decluttered... I am on a No Buy Year and even started a channel to document it and hold me accountable, so I can't get any new make up this year, but seeing this was very satisfying. I will have to search your channel for inspiration with products I own.

I know this was hard for you, it is for me too. My weaknesses are definitely eyeshadow palettes and highlighters! Unfortunately I only have so much space so sometimes declutters are a necessary evil. You did good, I’m proud of you!

Hi Mel , hope your feeling ok ! Oh yes I have just bought the Tribe palette not used yet The Flu ! Yes getting better !oh I love the cool tone palette love ! Mel you know all my adult life I only ever used Estée Lauder but now I have bought lots of Charlotte tilbury lots of quads I think I have 6 which I too love but that’s it for me , yes a sad mature woman ! I am only reaching for quads now , so I have done a declutter and some drug store all have gone to my family so I can use my high end makeup before they go off , however I still have an 9 drawer Alex unit almost full but I have started again to enjoy my makeup ! As it should be ! I have just bought some Marc Jacobs palettes oh my the look gorgeous !
