I heard it's just one anonymous buyer purchasing all the pedals and he's transporting them through an underground tunnel system that moves objects via kinetic energy vibrating at multiples of 432 Hz.

I heard that they use blue wiring instead of black for their ground lines and that's what makes them sound better!

A Walrus power supply is the secret to good tone. One Spot dominated for a long time, but it sucked the tone and led to some unfortunate recordings. I can look back at my own recordings and cringe. Bad tone, wrong notes. You name it. But once I clued into the power _source_ , all that changed. I haven't gotten rid of my old One Spots. Because if I ever want to recapture that vintage tone, I'll be ready. Also there's Reverb to think about. I can make a fortune in about...20 years... ...unless Josh wants to make a video about how great they are. Because they sound great paired with a Bad Monkey $$$

I’m in the process of having my house demolished and rebuilt because I felt like my mids were a little lacking when on the neck pickup of my J bass.

@@sledzeppelin oh yeah...I'm there. True story: a friend of mine has this insane sound system in his old, small house. 4k watts going into eight, or so, really beefy sub woofers, at close to zero ohms. I have videos of the destruction it causes inside the house. Shelves are emptied, his kitchen table dancing across the floor, the windows bulging out (but haven't broken...so far). He opens his front door to "port" the bass. Think of living _inside_ of your speaker cab. Just insane! Well, he decided to insulate the crawlspace under his living room with a foam that gets really rigid when it dries. ...it tightened up the bass response.

I am on equipment and guitar overload. This begs the question of what can people ie. The audience really hear? Is the newest latest greatest tone and nuances for the player or the audience? Everyone is touting the secret to tone but who really hears this difference in a live band setting? People used to laugh at Eric John who could hear a dying battery. Now there is a pedal for that and no one seems to laugh. But in the end result, playing live or recording, Who is hearing these nuances? Or are we just fooling ourselves?
@ravenslavesАй бұрын
Something to ponder, to be sure. But something else to consider is how we listen to recordings, and how that's changed over the years. I can listen to a recording in my car, while driving, having a great time, and not think about anything beyond that. Or...I can take the same recording and play it back at home through electrostatic speakers, a good amp (lots of headroom), a clean power supply....and suddenly you can easily hear what kind of amp is being used, guess the speaker size, and maybe figure out the type and gauge of strings are being used etc... I'm still stunned by this. It's something you really have to experience in person. Hearing recordings you grew up with, suddenly have a depth you never knew could exist. Sort of like going from a 13" TV from 1975 to a 8k 98" in 2024. All because that technology is becoming more accessible to a wider audience than ever before. I was also surprised by how much a good microphone and tape _really_ picks up. ... sometimes, too much?
@danhines2296Ай бұрын
@@ravenslaves agreed! Totally! I guess my point is more so in regards to the General Public and how they listen to music. I'm always amazed at audiophile equipment playback to things that I have listened to for years. But what I have encountered is the regular person does not listen for this. They are hearing the general vein of the song and not necessarily geeking over the nuances of technology. So, I guess my raging is more about being fed a better this or different that to infinity just to make a sale. Specifically in guitar gear, mainly because it's where I'm focused. Then people who have a large following exploit that for monetary gain. The main thing that I see is there is more than enough equipment being made to sound great on guitar and honestly, it doesn't take that much to achieve that. But you need the actual playing skill to pull it off. 😎👍
@ravenslavesАй бұрын
@@danhines2296 absolutely!!! You're spot on. And the reality of it all is pretty odd when you think about it. As electric guitar players, we value distortion? Speakers that are about to blow usually sound best? We want total lo-fi???? And pay money to get, what should be, the most undesirable characteristics in a musical instrument? ...we live in a weird world... ...good!
