Honestly, the excitement is worth it. I don't think any man u fan has said, "we will win the league", "win the champions league" , etc. They are simply just happy for the recent way the team is playing . I've also watched one of their matches, and I must say they're playing some enjoyable football. You can't just expect people not to be happy because it's preseason. But still comparing it to that Barcelona team must be some sort of joke

Personally I think Ten Haag so far has done an admirable job of making so much progress but then again it’s still the pre season. To me it would’ve been much better had United hired him last season when the squad is still intact (when Matic, Mata, Pogba, Cavani and others were still there) and coupled with the new signings he would definitely have a chance to go after the title now with the current squad the number is so thin that there’s not enough depth in many of the positions.

I have to say Picasso21 you've made your point. I honestly find high level footballers to have extreme egos, much more than basketball players and American football players. In a sense it's good and in a sense it can drive you batty. That being said I half agree with you about the way he acted in Juventus. THEY BOUGHT HIM TO WIN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE AND THEY FAILED MIGHTILY. He was aware of that and called them out on it. His ego wouldn't allow him to take any responsibility. That being said the rest of the league in Italy were catching up with them and Juventus needs to reload. They don't need a rebuild it's really just a reload.

I know if Manchester United had lost all 3 or even 2 of there pre-season games so far there would have been so much negative talks it is very obvious that everything is still not perfect but you can see a lot of signs of improvements so far, if the new signings come in with more positivity then the 1st goal would be achieved that is to better last season significantly.

Happy times for an united fan. ETH has made an impact. No one can't deny that. I still got concerns thought: the mentality of the squad and the lack of solid leadership. How will they react when they lose couples of games on the bounce, coz last year they downed tools very quickly whenerver they were up against it. The manager is not on the field to guide the team, you need a worthy leader to keep the heads together in tough times. Someone with a great sense of honesty, humility and responsibility towards his teammates, the manager, the fans. Who does anyone think meets this criteria in this squad? No one in my opinion.
