I think they’re more ridiculing the fact that it doesn’t look as creepy and demented as the older versions, but moreso ‘cartoony’, like his up pose and his dialogue part. Even though his dialogue part is new original artwork, if im right. I agree that he still looks pretty cool here though.

The one frame buckle on the inner part of their shoe is really distracting for me and the line-art is occasionally too thick. Besides that I really like the "goofy" look of the sprites.

There are a lot of people complaining about the sonic.exe sprites, but they were for the classic (the one from 2011), not the Xenophane (sorry if I said it wrong), but if we are going to compare the same ones from Xenophane, he really is more childlike. The first time I saw the video I thought the pose up was strange, but I thought it was cool.

I believe that "Rerun" did the right thing. Do sprites look boring? Perhaps. But if this is Sonic 2012, and not Xenophane, then sprites are quite suitable. 2012 definitely didn't have all these arms, tentacles, interference And if you say sprites should be creepy, then... Are you serious? Who has been scaring lately .exe for real, except for children, Luijikid (probably) and especially impressionable?

I feel like the problem here is the sprites aren’t expressive enough. They’re bland, and the poses don’t feel as exaggerated in comparison to the original mod’s Sonic.EXE.

People say the sprites are bad. and while they aren't as good as some would expect it to be, that doesn't mean they are bad sprites by any means! I think people just have such high expectations of sprites that we forgot most of the mods are passion projects. Someone still put time into making the sprite. No one is offering constructive criticism, I only see people bashing the sprites. Besides, the sprites look good to me. The only sprite that I feel got shafted was the laugh animation. That got shafted hard. Could've been a bit better by maybe having him lean forward with the laugh like in original too slow's laughing animation, but the sprites themselves looked good. Everyone chattin shit for no reason. Lower your expectations for sprites. You shouldn't expect top notch sprites for every single thing that gets released in this community.

I agree, I think the sprites for Sonicexe are better than the original too slow sprites. that's saying a lot, I know, but he just looks a bit more fluid and stuff. I dunno.

I like the music here, it's just the sprites that need more time in the oven i think. Personally, he just feels stiff. He barely moves other than a few pixels to eather side. It makes it so there's no sense of movement and fluidity to his poses, which gives it a bit of a cheap look. Also, im fine with them making him look a little more "goofy", they just shouldn't fall back on that to excuse these. Also i do like the ones at the start, along with bf, it's just X that needs a little rework.

Sprites could definitely use a style overhaul (Sonic.EXE up pose looks straight out of a kid cartoon and bf looks weird), but other than that everything else is good, I would 100% keep the movements of the ‘I Am God’ segment (preferably in the overhauled style) and the background is true to the original Sonic.EXE fangame

I genuinely think these are the best sprites if OG Sonic.EXE. In the actual game, he’s was literally just resprites of Sonic 3 sprites that made him look more goofy then scary. Will have to say that some of the poses do need a little fix to them tho.

I really fucking hate the exe sprites honestly. They've got quality but the dynamics of the poses is just so fucking bland that it honestly disinterests me entirely. The only really good part of his sprites is the speech. The rest of the art looks pretty great tbh, especially the corpses. The music has grown on me honestly. I just wish that the exe sprites weren't so bland and boring.

I like the song until minute 1:14, that is, until the first section ends, because it sounds too idk, possibly melancholic (I don't even know what melancholic means but I don't have any other word) I also love the part where the instrumental puts sounds and in each sound it shows an image of what happened to tails, knuckles and the eggman, it's too epic

Here’s for all you “sprites are goofy” people. The sprites are not bland or uninspired, and you only don’t like them because they stay in the same place. If the sprites moved a little more to the left or right to differentiate them from each other then they look completely fine. The music is great and so are the sprites.
