Facts 💯 draymond green is the perfect example. He’s one of the dirtiest players in the league but he’s constantly being praised because he’s on the warriors. Honestly it seems like the warriors fanbase/bandwagons see the grizzlies as a major threat because they are a young and talented team, while the warriors dynasty is slowly declining. Such a toxic fanbase tbh, once Curry retires we’ll see many fans the warriors actually have

The funny thing is that people hate on Brooks because he plays good defense in this new soft NBA era

No it's because he's straight up trying to injure other players! He's a fine defender, not elite, he just talks a big game

Dudes trying to turn heal and embrace that villain role which is fine… but you gotta be good to do that and not be considered a clown. Break team’s hearts with good play and talking not just be a trash talking ego-maniac who might get you 7 points. The difference between someone like Reggie Miller or even Trae against the Knicks and this guy is that Trae and Reggie will talk trash and then hit 3 3’s on your head in the next 5 mins and Brooks to end the game talks more trash, tries to fake fight everyone and then might get you an assist at best the rest of the game. It’s just not it. Bozo behavior

I understand why he's unlikeable but you can show a highlight reel of anyone getting cooked in the NBA. He's actually a solid physical defender who has unwavering confidence - still a valuable asset in my opinion. His DRTG will be slightly higher because he matches up against another team's offensive star most nights. He's exactly like Draymond but he plays on a team without the best two shooters of all time, and it certainly doesn't help that Ja has been a major distraction recently. I will say that at his peak Draymond was a much better individual defender than DB is right now. I love that as a small market team they're making noise and playing with this chip on their shoulder it adds to the excitement and the parity in the league and so I think it's respectable when people take up the villain role. If you compare him to the literal best players on earth he's average but he's in the NBA for a reason

He's unlikeable because he's a dirty player, and never has remorse whenever he does hurt other players. It's something we shouldn't be really encouraging imo. It's not fun to watch watching him endangering other players too.

Dillon is not like Draymond, in playstyle or attitude... Players seem to respect Draymond... Dillon does not have that... And is a way worse defender than Draymond and so far way less accomplished...

@@aidene.nguyen As much as you don't want to believe it they're very similar players and their trajectories have been team based. Dray has played with Steph, Klay and KD his NBA career will be more accomplished naturally and it's changed the way he's required to play. If Dillon had those three on his team you think he still needs to shoot 14 times a night? Its more than double what Dray is asked to do for his team. The reverence and respect for Dray is a more recent development, when he was kicking people in the nuts regularly and shoving people down people were going after him the same way you are with Dillon. Winning seems to cure it all so Dray's just lucky they were successful

@@DCIphanatic I agree with you about the comparisons with Draymond. It makes Brooks' comments to Draymond even funnier because he said he doesn't know what Dray does for GSW. Exactly what he does except better because he has better teammates. Dray has a career twice as long as Dillion (10 full seasons to Brooks' 5) so I think it is still early judging who is better. I say give it 3 more years. Dray will be in his 14th season and be 35 probably thinking about retiring soon. Brooks will be in his 9th season as a 30 year old. Dray didn't win his DPOY award until his 5th year. Brooks is in his 6th year so we'll see if he can beat out the tall guys in the league that are currently in the DPOY conversation. For how disruptive Brooks is on D he's not in that conversation.
