Try using Agar-agar instead of jello. You'll get a crystal clear jelly that way to color with the watermelon and the other fruit. You can flavor it by adding half juice instead of the full measurements of water.

Use agar agar powder 1 1/2 tsp per litre of water , 1 1/4 cup sugar or equivalent other sweetener of your choice and you’ll have a firmer, sweeter jello. Instead of watermelon add 1/2 cu passionfruit cordial and 1/2 cup apple or orange juice to this jello once it’s boiled and you’ll have an awesome dessert. It’s a hit wherever I take it

You can clarify the watermelon juice with agar. Dissolve the age in the juice and heat to a simmer, then cool over an ice bath (don't let any water in though), stirring occasionally, until it is the texture of cottage cheese. Then strain through cheese cloth, and the liquid should be totally clear

You could use Isinglass instead of Gelatine. It’s naturally clarifying and is used in juice making and beer brewing precisely for that reason.

Hello love, Chef here. I just wanted to help you in your goals of clear watermelon jello. If you consume the watermelon juice it will have all the watermelon flavor without the color. (Simmer with lightly whipped eggwites, then seperate floating raft of pulp and egg from clear juice.)

Maybe strain the watermelon juice through a cloth or coffee filter. Perhaps that might help clear it mire.

Oh! if you need to get fine particles out of liquid try beating a couple of egg whites into the liquid before you heat it up; the whites will cook around the finer particles that the sieve missed and make them easier to strain out. It’s a filtering method that people use for everything from soups to wine, you might be able to get some good mileage out of it!

It was nice you tried. It's really personal preference, I think. I like the appearance of the watermelon juice. You could also use a melon baller and put the watermelon balls in the clear jello. I don't like green grapes. But this recipe seems very flexible.😊

I'm so glad that jello gelatin desserts are coming back into style. As a child of the 50s and 60s, I ate a lot of fruit and jello. And icebox pies made with jello, fruit mixed with whip cream, cream cheese or cottage cheese. I saw a recipe for kool-aid pie. It's cherry kool-aid and cool whip with Graham cracker crust. You can use any flavor of kool-aid. I can't wait to make it.

Similar to my Swedish grandmother's frozen fruit salad. I need to make that, it's been a while. My grandma's recipe is: Can of pineapple Can of apricots Sliced bananas and you decide how much you put in Frozen strawberrys Pour strawberries in a pot with water and sugar to taste and dissolve the sugar Pour all the fruits into a 9 X 11 pan Freeze over night Take 2 packages of softened cream cheese and stir, add powdered sugar and fresh squeezes lemons to taste. Put frosting on the frozen fruit salad. It's wonderful!

You Can freeze it, once it’s like an ice Cube, put it Over a towel and a bowl, all the Fiber will Stay at the towel and the clear juice will go under to the bowl

Use something like a coffee filter, multiple layers of cheesecloth, or a jelly bag for your second strain to get clear juice.

I like the look of the watermelon jelly. Sounds amazing. Coconut water will be delish as well.

Let the watermelon juice alone sit overnight & the pink bits in the juice will separate to the bottom making the juice more clear.. & try it again.

Refrigerator the juice over night. It will 'cold crash' it (as we say when making mead and clairifying it wirh cold) making it separate. Then just slowly poor off the clear juice on top. And then use that to make ur Jell-O.

I sometimes use Kanten sticks. Japanese gelatin extracted from seaweed. Totally neutral taste and color. For a birthday cake😅😅 we put the fresh fruit salad and liquid kanten and honey, into a bundt pan and served with coco whip( like whipped cream , but coconut, non dairy ) you can find this next to the cool. Whip at wally world😅😅
