@@jackpfiester5013 I agree. It’s like Adam’s epic riff around 8:07-8:24 on Reflection, which is one his best imo. That one gives me chills too, but it needs the buildup. It couldn’t be a recurring riff either, for the same reason

Same. I remember this was referred to as the "Descending Riff" before the new album came out. I'll never forget listing to if for the first time waiting to hear when it would show up. It kept building and building. Finally this riff drops, I'm in awe, then the gong hits and all the hair stood up on my neck and I got shivers. It was pure magic.

I'm not the oldest tool fan I'm only 17 but people gotta stop hating on fear inoculum, I listened to all of their albums almost nonstop with my dad and I'm telling you man all of their albums are insane, the amount of details in their songs is out of this world and fear inoculum, in terms of musical details, is in second place. First place being 10 000 days. Again it's based on musical details if we talk about melody and smoothness it's fear inoculum, if we talked about 90's style it's undertow, If we talk about masterpieces it's lateralus, If we talk about heaviness and aggressivity it's Ænema And if we talk about the most efforts and dedication it's 10 000 days (Lateralus could be in that category too since maynard busted his voice on ticks and leeches) Each albums has it's thing and that's what I like about tool, anyway musical geniuses of a band and the best albums I've ever listened to and I'd say Lateralus is equal to 2112 by Rush

It's been a bumpy road to this album, they're tired with legal stuff, but they've kept on touring through the years... All the recent posts and apparent excitement from the band leads me to think that they can't wait for this to come out... Tool members are fans of Tool as much as we are! I'm predicting both an EP & LP albums! :O

Wow. Wowee. Thanks for keeping us up-to-date ToolArchive. This is always my #1 Tool News source. I wonder how old most of the material on the album actually is. The members have been cited as having written music as early as 2012 (lol, early) so I'm curious about the evolution of the material over the years or if most of it got scrapped. I doubt it. Can anyone confirm?
