My cover of Ænema by Tool is FINALLY complete and ready to share with you!!
As we all know, Tool released their discography on Spotify a few weeks ago. It reawakened a part of me and got me super inspired to do this cover. It is an understatement when I say this project was M A S S I V E 😱 All of the parts were transcribed and arranged by me. I did the recording and Tomás Shannon helped me mix it. Hubby helped me with the video, and I edited all the takes down to complete this #beautiful and #badass project.
Please like and share if you enjoyed watching this - and also 1 like = 1 prayer for my poor #cello LOL. Edgar certainly took a beating (literally) for this project. 😂

I thought this was in the 300 thousands, then realized it was just in the 300’s This could have hundreds of thousands of views and I wouldn’t think twice. Great stuff.

the best part about this is the attention to detail...the swipes across the body in the beginning, the pounding bass. hope to see more Tool renditions like this! great job.

I've come to this conclusion many times over in my life, the cello is the best instrument ever. No instrument has ever been able to invoke so many and powerful emotions in me, and that combined with my favorite genre of music....oh man. If only I was that lucky man who could master that...but thank you for the work you put in to this. ❤️

Lol, Tool is my favorite band and honestly more than just music and art, tool is an experience... life altering masterpieces of genius and emotion and poetry that remind me how small and insignificant yet powerful and poignant human kind really is. A friend of mine once told me that his lithmus test for whether a certain metal song/band was worth their money was to play their music on a classical instrument and see whether it came out sounding good or just like cacophonic mayhem (band pun sort of not intended). In doing this cover, you've proven not only that Tool passes this test with flying colors, but also that one person can do some pretty amazing things with a cello, things I never would've thought possible. If I was of the hat-wearing kind, I'd be lifting it in awe and respect, but this comment will have to do instead. Oh, and I second everyone saying your views should be in the hundreds of thousands, but I raise that and say we should be talking millions. Keep it up!

Way ahead of you, I've already sent it to everyone I know with even a fleeting interest (how that is possible, I don't know) in Tool. And kudos to your teachers, classmates and yourself for venturing into other fields than the ones you might expect. I cannot emphasize enough how awesome I think this is - look forward to seeing and hearing what the future might bring!

I cannot get my head around the fact that there is so little great Tool interpretation around with strings, keeping up with the energy, the balance of light & dark, bitter & sweet that I feel with their music and in my opinion the cello is the perfect music instrument for. My cello skills are not ready for this yet ; )

I've been so busy as of late with remote recording and session work, so I haven't been able to dedicate more time to my personal projects.
