Only Tool could turn a 7 min Led Zep song and make it 11 min. One of my all time Tool songs, it's always a journey start to end. And I say Tool songs cause they absolutely make this their own. Still get goosebumps every time I hear it. Loved the reaction.

A lot of Led Zeppelin fans don't like this version but I think it's really important to remember the best covers are often a reimagining of a song and not a note for note copy. No one can copy Led Zeppelin and no one can copy Tool. That's why you get two great versions of 1 great song.

When this song was released, I was driving and it came on my local rock radio. About 5 seconds into I pulled over to the side of the road so I could give it my full attention. Best cover ever made.

Lord have mercy. The first time I heard this I got weepy. So beautiful, haunting and stunningly EPIC. There are tracks that MJK just kills on and Led Zeppelin's No Quarter is one of them. I don't know if it's TRUE, but I heard Mr. Plant and Mr. Page shed tears when they heard it. Not surprised. Next level shit right here. As usual, your reactions are pure gold guys.

This song always takes me on a trip to goosebump city

I saw this at Lollapalooza in the late 90s. They rarely played it live (I previously only had one horrible quality bootleg MP3 of one of the performances), but they played it that night because a band they respected was finishing their time on the tour that night. I leaned over to tell the dudes I was with how lucky we were and they didn't even understand what I was talking about.

This song hit so hard. As a fan of Zeppelin and Tool, I can’t imagine anything better.

I love love love your guys Tool reactions. It makes me miss concerts so much, because you are the type of people I like to stand next to at a concert. Just complete strangers you get to bond with over an incredible art form! It needs to be noted, as well, that this was a live track in concert...not a studio. I really hope you guys do more. I have two requests. 1) Wings for Marie (10,000 days) Part 1 and 2 (two separate tracks back to back but meant to be listened to as one) 2) Do some research on Wings for Marie first to really feel the emotion. It's an amazing memorium that Maynard created for his mother Judith Marie who died after suffering 10,000 days in a wheelchair as a very sick lady. Her faith in an afterlife and her grace were way beyond anyone who was suffering or not. It's amazing! Love you guys...peace!
