Toolbox with liftout tray

Making a toolbox by hand, inspired by the popular Japanese design, as a housemoving gift for a friend. By omitting the traditional locking wedge for the lid, I was able to use the divided wall feature as ledges to hold a tool tray.
I'm no professional and I don't have anything to teach, this is just me, sharing my thoughts and my work. Join me as I'm learning fine woodworking!

Thanks for sharing those marking and pre-sale techniques. Also those are some nice winding (leveling) sticks. Very cool almost power tool less video.

Thanks for sharing this video. I've been trying to get my wood work done and I don't have many power tools...so you just gave me a bright idea! 😉 By the way, what saw are you using there? Where to buy?

Thank you! Giving someone ideas to get their own projects done is why I make videos, so I'm very happy to hear that. I was using a couple of saws here but mainly a ryoba style japanese saw from Gyokucho. I found it at a local hardware place but I think that brand is pretty commonly available.
