while that's true...I would assume that milwaukee has been working on this for a hot minute. probably since before flex or dewalt announced there pouch cell batteries.

Continuous improvement is nice. I have enough M18 batteries. Using the right ones is key such as the high output ones in tools you need to maximize the output. 👍

The price is the killer. All Milwaukee prices just went nuts in Australia - pack out 2 and 3 drawer options just had a price leap of $100+AUD and the forge batteries with charger are close to $1k! They’re not bringing in the right tools, the Australian product managers are asleep at the wheel and trying to price gouge to pay that $15M price fixing fine they received. Currently two vacant Product Manager roles, but only for short term contracts. Fix your house Milwaukee!

I dunno…these new Forge Batt-Rays kinda look a little like the Amazon M18 Knock-off’s to me. Wait a second, Clint! Are you sure that Vance from the The Very Conspicuous Gang hasn’t been camouflaged like a shrub out in front o yer house, intercepting your packages 📦 from Mil-Wauk-A-I -A, and swapping out the good Batt-Rays for some pretend Batt-Rays?!? Does the box smell like cheesesteak??? If so, it could be boobytrapped! Pro-Ceeed with caution, my friend! You just never know when that sneaky dude in the goggles may be lurking about! 👀

Just wait till next year, they releasing the tab less batteries. If u google search milwaukee tab less you'll find articles on them. Sounds promising and to be more powerful.

I care more about runtime than charging. Does the new 6.0 run cooler and not over heat when running the chainsaw or 9" grinder vs the xc 6.0? I'm guessing runtime is the same.

I don’t think they sell as a kit right now. But For each battery is $199 and the new charger is $249

Yes but if you want the 15 minute charge you cannot add the second battery into the charger....Read the fine print, there's always a caveat....
