It's great to hear some not so positive feedback on these tools. Because in the end they are not bad tools, but they didn't fit into your individual workstyle. And that's what people should always ask themselves. Does this tool fit into my workflow and does it improve it? I have dedicated toolkits for a few different tasks so it's great to have the wera driver set in some of them. Low space requirement and very versatile. However, if you always use the same two or three screwdrives the normal ones are faster, cheaper and easier to use. Just buy tools that you could actually use for your kind of work, not tools that are "just" useful and fancy.

I had that Klein nut driver for less than a week. Gave it to my father to use at home. I consider it more viable as a weapon than a tool.

Tax rate in the US is like 3-7% so its pretty much a total waste of money. Youre getting $5 back for a set of screwdrivers. You can collect more change off the sidewalk.

I got the Milwaukee's as a gift, and thought I'd hate it, and because I had an expensive version of it's individual features, I'd use it as a beater tool. It ended up being my favorite tool that I always reach for first, but yeah the cutting edges don't stay sharp too long. I now actually wish they made a premium version of it, I also really like the grips when wearing insulated gloves to the point I got the linesman version just for it, even though I like the Klein's head more.

A lot of your comments were spot-on. I also purchased the same combination nut driver, which looked like a great idea. But as you stated, it's bulky and very heavy. We had an HVAC Tech visit the house for annual service one time, and I just gave it to him. Another disappointment was the Ideal 45-112 Forged Heavy-Duty Dual NM Wire Stripper. They too looked like a great idea and were pretty expensive ($40 or so). The bend in the handles is OK, but what I found was that when the jaws close, there's too much distance between the handles still, and therefore, the clamping force generated is significantly reduced. As you had stated, "I just don't like them", which is s shame. Great video.

I swapped my klein nut driver for the klein flip socket driver on a milwaukee 14 in 1 handle, and it is probably the best combination driver I have had to date. As far as wire strippers go, I enjoy my milwaukee ones, but the terminal crimper leaves alot to be desired.

Thanks for the video. Finally someone that has the same observations about those Klein strippers. I always thought I was the one with the problem for not liking them. Wrote it down to different job environments and requirements since I don't do construction work and am not based in the US so electrical wiring norms are slightly different. Most reviewers seem to speak highly of them and when I did live in the US, I'd see them in the bags of handymen, electricians, etc.

Last year around Christmas I saw that cheap Husky brand needle nose pliers and wire stripper combo on sale at Home Depot for about 8 bucks and got them just for a backup when I don't have my Klein wire strippers. I don't know how long they will last but so far they have been great. They strip wire about as well as my American made Klein wire strippers. I do general home improvements so I don't do electrical work every day but these Husky wire strippers have done probably 100+ outlets and lights and they still seem fine. The needle nose pliers actually work as pliers as well. I basically just wanted to test out this type of wire stripper and will probably upgrade to a name brand.

Since I tend to stuff all my tools into the pockets of my work clothes, I love the wera kit. But I don't use the pouch it's coming with either. I just put the handle with the mainly used blade in it, then some additional blades into the folding rule pocket, a bunch of pliers into the jacket and I'm good to go for 90% of upcoming work

I used to love Klein screwdrivers, but they’ve gone way down hill. Also I’ve got 3-4 Klein tools that had the grips rip straight off in less than a couple months of use. Strippers, glow in the dark linesman’s, 11-1 mag screwdriver, all junk. And to top it all off, you can’t even swap them out for new at electric supply shop.. now it has to be sent in to be warranted. The only klein I will buy anymore are the tape measures(when they are new, I love them), they hardly last a month either but I bought a second pair so I can keep one in rotation while the other gets warranted..

I’m a corrosion tech. I use that nut driver everyday. I had to modify tf out of it. Any hex end smaller than 7/16 i had to drill out because it wouldn’t allow the stud to pass through and on the 7/16 hex i had to take the dumb detent ball out. Other than that i absolutely love it My co-worker has those Milwaukee strippers. I can’t stand them. I’d rather strip with with my cable cutters

How much do you want for the Klein nut driver? I have a Klein 11 in 1 screwdriver but that nut driver looks great. On the one bag that doesn't have a clip you could adopt one if you drill it out and use Chicago screws to mount it. Maybe take the clip off of the little pouch at the end of the video and use that.

The KLEIN 'All Purpose' Pliers are pretty good for HVAC, but you gotta get the version with crimpers on them in place of the spring - didn't like them at first, but after a few weeks I started to like them and now I use them daily. Probably wouldn't use them for Electrical install - but for HVAC Service they're great.

....same with the 816RA Wera ratcheting driver. I really like it for HVAC Service; but we all carry a few bits in our pockets on a daily basis anyway - so it's not any different that popping them in and out of our Impacts. That's what I use the 816RA for mainly, for times when I know I'll be removing 4 or less screws from a panel and don't feel like lugging my impact up into an attic (or out to a condensing unit). If I were doing Electrical all day, I think I would have a lot less 'multi' kinda stuff and more dedicated and proven stuff like a good pair of Lineman's, diagonal cutters, and something like the KNIPEX Electrical install pliers you mentioned.

Yeah I hate that Klein nutdriver and hybrid needle nose stripper. Worst tools I ever bought. The needle nose stripper just doesn't do a good job at anything and I only used the nutdriver once. I've gotten rid of all my nutdrivers and just carry a bag/case of nut driving bits then use them on my 11 in 1 klein multibit driver or impact. Nice part of the Klein 11 in 1 is that the extension and bits are impact rated, so I'm always carrying around a set of bits for my impact. The other thing I like is my Klein hybrid linesman and stripper. It's different than the one you showed in the video. Mine doesn't have the curved comfort grip. It has a linesman plier grip like your milwaukee and that thing is solid. I can easily pigtail 4 #12s with them. Anything more than that or bigger than that I will grab my linesmans, but I've really cut down my use of linesmans with them.

If it's a tool somebody gives away, there's a real possibility it's just not a great tool. Exceptions exist. My old boss gave me a rechargeable headlamp and I loved the thing. Used it til it broke. Recently got into soldering, and soldered a new charging cord onto it. It still works. The battery seems to be bulging a bit, but I fully plan to replace it when the time comes. It's one of the old discontinued craftsman ones. I prefer it over my Milwaukee headlamps cuz it's USB instead of USB micro. Doesn't fall off the strap, loads of reasons it's better than the Milwaukee. I recommend the Klein rechargeable headlamps now. Half the price of Milwaukee, but it's USB c, and that counts for so much more than I can say.
