There’s not much of a reason for it not to be. The part it’s based around is usually 19-25v and 375, 400 and 500 watts. I can’t find the 36v one that is in the as001g. Does the 36v one have a higher wattage? I don’t know. As stands, the 400-500 watt models could easily be handled by LXT.

This is great for drying small things - water bottles, jewelry that’s gone through an ultrasonic cleaner, watch bracelets… all those things small or cramped things that you can never dry completely with cloth. Very excited to pick this up and stop buying cans of compressed air for the small stuff around the house!

Also when cleaning glasses, safety glasses or optical parts it might be handy. Clean with dishwasher soap, rinse with water, then blow it dry which is blowing away most of the water but not evaporating it gives the clearest surfaces on any oaptics stuff quick and easy. Doing this with a big leaf blower now, but i am a bit sceptic this one might be a significant improvement in convenience. I was expecting it to come closer to the power of a compressor with pressure tank, as having to get the pressurized air oil free is an additional inconvenience making me not wanting a compressor.

So let me try and understand your reasoning... you are comparing the price of this tool with batteries and a charger, to a bare workshop blower (I suspect even a knock off by your math) and you think that's a logical and fair comparison???

Reading through the comments, seems some are totally against this tool. Interesting. I can't wait to get ahold of one. I use my compact blower, like the one you compared this too, all the time. It's usually within arm's reach. Remodeling houses for a living, this tool would have a million and one uses, in my opinion. I've had an idea for awhile now: for larger tools like tablesaw I want to install a length of hose leading to the inside where saw dust can get clogged or just piled up. I would zip tie the hose in place. Then, when needed, just attach this blower (or another) to the hose and, well, blow! The ability to blow out holes for for concrete anchor installation with this would easily be worth the purchase. IN MY OPINION. I don't want to get anyone all pissed off at me in the comment section now. As always, thanks for the review. Yours is definitely the go to channel for new makita stuff. It's great to have a preview of tools to come, and then wait 6-12 months to finally purchase one. Yep.

I think the lunchbox style wet/dry vac (which also has a blower function) may be better use. DVC750 I think it’s model Is, also brushless. Since I subscribed to this chanel I've bought more Makita tools than I've got storage. At least now I can use them to build an addition to sort that out. BTW I've recently bought the XGT powerhead UX01G with the brush attachment and although it's a good workout operating one of them it really does a good job cleaning up pavement. Brushes all the weeds between the cravices with ease without blowing all the sand in the joints out like a pressure washer does.

I’d like to hang this off my tool belt with a dust extraction hose connected to the tool I’m using. Ideally with a HEPA filter of some sort to act as an air purifier, when it’s too hard to set up a proper extraction system on the site, which is most of the time tbh. That and blowing out holes for rebar like you said.

I keep a corded duster/blower designed for electronics (datavac I think) on my table saw and use it constantly to blow dust. It’s shaped and sized much like this blower. kind of like yourself, i’d use it to replace my air-compressor type jobs. in the workshop that’s the constant blowing down of work surfaces when i’m wood working. i do that like every couple of minutes to make sure nothing puts joints out of line when glueing/screwing etc. i’d use it in the house like you mentioned but maybe whilst vacuuming (would depend on the weight) i use a paintbrush to move dirt/dust on skirting boards and door trim etc and vac it up once it’s free 🤷. maybe to tool would make it harder. i also use a paintbrush on tree jobs (i’m an arborist) to clean the oil and fuel caps before refueling. they get very dirty and the concern is that globs of oily sawdust get into the tank when you take the caps off. the paintbrush only does so much and i’ve been thinking about a battery air compressor to do that job. it would also be good to clean out under the clutch cover on my saws without having to take off the cover. when you take off the cover to clean (which you need to do or it will clog up and stop the saw you have to take off 2 nuts and you inevitably have to re-tension the chain. this would (i’d say) fix that issue 80% of the time if you routinely blew out under the cover every tank of fuel. price would be and issue. if it much over $200aud, i don’t know if it would be worth it. i’ll leave that for you to change my mind when i got an air compressor, i don’t know how i’d survived without one in the past. maybe it will be the same. 18v or 36v too please.

this tool clearly has had some thought and effort put into it, to make it as useful as it can possibly be. pretty nice thing to have. just wish makita would move over to the flat pouch cells now. and oh idk maybe update their quite oil impact driver with a few more features? and make it cheaper? that is more of a personal wishes. maybe others dont care so much about that specifically. so would be harder for makita to justify the r&d and productions costs of developing it? if so few people buys them vs the regular super loud impacts. i just want a really nice and loud impact driver. not a super mega loud one 😃

I would really like one of these because I'm looking at getting a compressor purely for the blowing action. But it works out about $1000 in Oz because I'd need to buy some random 40V tool to get the battery+charger. Annoying. OTOH the DX06 dust extractor for hammer drill is awesome, I just got one and it changes the game significantly. The clicker toy on the filter compartment is a surprising win, it seems like a gimmick but it actually works and I can see how it would save poople smashing the housing trying to knock dust out of the filter.

Dunno if your still looking for alternatives to your air compressor gun to clean your wash filter, but i've been using the xgt inflator to blow stuff out like holes in concrete. With the ball pump attachment it might have the pressure you'd need to blow out the gunk in the filter ... Alibeit its not intended for that.

@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL There was another small blower in your video (06:11) Just compare how much the GSA01 can move the water from the car in comparison to that blower :) I know it will be slower, I must wonder how much. So you'd pretty much dry your can using these two blowers and compare the results :) Thank you for answering.

@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL Stock isn’t there. Most dealers follow region controls. Shipping between US/Canada is a mother. UPS and FedEx take advantage of that. Most Canadian retailers I buy from actually have to setup US warehouses to get around all of the malarky. People drive back and forth with purchases every day…especially small border towns. Meanwhile, parcels… totally different story. NAFTA actually hinders the process on top of it. It’s pretty interesting, somewhat. Meanwhile, US customs is notoriously relaxed on most import. I’m a bit biased, of course. I was stuck with all of the shipping and receiving at my last job. On top of product, lot’s of samples that got sent back and forth. Talking 5-10 x 50-75 lb cartons. I don’t believe we had representation in New Zealand, but did a lot with Australia. Oz was an easier process than Canada if you can fathom that. Hell, every country was.

@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL 😂 I want a warranty or at least easy part availability. As you can imagine, my one skill is that I break stuff. Makita simply cannot supply the whole world with XGT right now and the USA is their last priority. They can barely supply Japan, Australia and New Zealand and that’s about it. Likewise, I’ve got about 8 or so Nuron tools that nobody will be seeing outside of the Americas for a while (or so I’m told). It is what it is right now. I’ve only been such a pest about it because Makita USA refuses to say, “hey, sorry man, supply issues”. Instead, they’re choosing bad optics.
